Ewert having a very nice match. To me, Tuaniga looks uninspired. Can't say I blame him with no Olympic future in sight, but it's still disappointing. a back-set pipe isn't inspiring? lol. give him an opp an pin to set to |

We all know that but it's also ok to begin to care or look to the future. We have a few dudes here who may be in the mix come next summer. that person said they're trying to get into men's but seemed dejected presumably because of our performance so far this VNL. I don't think it’s out of the realm of possibilities that they don’t know that this team has ZERO Olympic players. No I appreciate the reminder! I do know that this is the young group and that the Olympic team that was picked wouldn't be here, so I'm not exactly expecting great things. I have caught several past men's olympic games that were enjoyable enough. Just trying to give it a fair shake and this is my first VNL, but just a bit hard to watch and find engaging for me right now. But I see lots of potential. |

Did Champlin played at all? No but Ewert and Kessel both looked pretty good today. Middle connection was lacking/high error in sets 1-2 (didn’t watch 3), and Gabi cooled off after about 15 points and couldn’t seem to hit any shot other than directly into the block, which was really unfortunate because he had a few hot swings early on. Point being, the left pins weren’t what needed to be changed this match. |
