As someone who had Andy Reid as a coach at Balboa he was by far the worst coach I had during my 7 years at the club. It’s actually mind boggling to me he is the head coach for VNL. So, I'm not the only person wondering about this choice.

That is correct....if you don't have an arm you will never play high level pro VB. I don't know if Jalen has the mechanics. My statement is in general Idk how much you have watched him play, but as of right now he does not. Doesn't mean he won't in the future, but will need to be very intentional every off season with improving his mechanics That last part....Amen

Jalen Phillips might the future at opposite. Supposedly he has a 47 inch vert and can touch 12'6. Isnt Ohio State Shane Wetzel on track for this?

I don't understand the college to pro transition that well, but Parker Van Buren is definitely in the conversation of future team USA opposites right?

That movement pattern isn't going to be able to generate enough power serving or hitting high hands to be effective when the level of competition increases to the Olympics. Also if you watch more footage than just one single highlight, you will get a better feel for someone's overall game
