Wow. So much anger. Free agency and trades may be stressful, but it's half the fun as a fan. It's also the conduit through which player salaries will continue to increase provided one of these leagues end up surviving. That has nothing to do with doing it competently. ** Wouldn't it make sense for the 2nd season rollout to be smoother than the first? Do you think it is? For example, wouldn't it make sense for Omaha to announce by now what they have decided to do with their "interim" coach? (Who won the inaugural championship and earned the team/players a million dollars?) Yes and no. All of the transactions had to happen later because they needed to wait for last season to end. Something you don’t have to deal with in year 1. It does definitely seem like we’ll have eight teams, not ten. So that’s disappointing.

Oh, this is far from perfect. But, it's better than a lot of other start-up leagues I've followed.
Omaha's ownership has been weird when it comes to the coaching position. It feels like the team won a championship despite them.
And, the rumors I've heard is that Omaha's ownership has also been a factor in the delays around TV, sponsorship deals, and the ousting of Whinham and Evans.
But, considering my city's history regarding sports, I'd pick the Rise ownership of my team over the executives in Anaheim who wouldn't appreciate the value of my market and make my team the Barry Horrowitz of the league.

And the fact that you have any number of established teams that don't announce any re-signings (maybe there aren't any--who knows?) even though the transaction period they themselves established is upon them only highlights the fact that they're kind of a mess, especially in light of the fact that the competing league has already done so.

All I heard was that a minority of owners led by Omaha turned on them and the Rise ownership ended up brokering an amicable split to avoid an implosion of the PVF.
