It's still really early for the 26's. Plus, the top schools that might be looking to grab a 26 right now are also the same schools that might be affected by the proposed roster limits. So I'm sure that will cause a slight delay for the 26's while those same schools try to figure out how this affects their 25's. What we should be seeing more of in the next month are the 25's that are trying to lock things down before their senior years gets going, and the application deadlines start approaching.

I bet there are offers out there. There are a handful of players that are as close to a sure thing as there can be and there have to be some coaches that want to be the first offer into the inbox of these athletes.

Penn State coaches at the camp mentioned that they have several 2026 commits already and are only looking for a couple more in that class. I guess there are commits out there that just haven't announced or are waiting to do a visit to make it unofficially official.

I would think they would leave more room for transfers. It will be extremely not cool if some of the schools over commit and then cut kids their senior years now knowing the roster cap possibilities. |

Does anyone know if redshirts count against the roster? Redshirts traditionally have been on the roster. Perhaps some of the frosh are used as practice players and not rostered athletes moving forward. Otherwise I suspect a bunch of athletes will be on the chopping block. |
