Here are the Olympic groupings for the pool draws (whenever that is officially done). Group 1: France, Brazil, and Italy/Poland Group 2: Turkiye, Italy/Poland, and USA Group 3: China, Japan, and Netherlands Group 4: Serbia, Dominican Republic, and Kenya
The winner of the Poland-China match will determine where Italy and Poland end up.

I would much rather be paired with Poland... but then again Italy in the Olympics... sksksk

Anna Stevenson is gonna have some words... 9 kills, hitting over .600, plus 2 blocks/4 block touches. Well, if Poulter can't go due to injury, there's room for a 4th middle! I know you can not be serious lol. If Poulter couldn't go due to injury, then there is room for Hancock.

USA should be serving every ball short, making Hayashi or Mayu move for it... but will they? doubt. Youre asking for too much. I just want the serve to not go into the net ![:D](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/grin.png) Technically, serving it into the net is also serving it short.

Flip a coin on Rettke/Washington I think Anna played well today and I want to give her the flowers she deserves for today. But staff and players consistently have her as the 4th string middle and it wasnât close (for multiple reasons). Unless thereâs an injury, thereâs zero chance sheâs a part of the middle room long term. Haleigh and Dana are the clear starters and I didnât really think this was up for debate?

I think he'd bring one of the other alternates, like Frantti. I'm still not expecting anyone to come in. They have 13 there right now. in 2021, once the Olympic roster was announced, he didn't take 14 for the finals, he took the 12 Olympians. I think things are different this time around and he doesnât have a choice.

If Plummer's apparent injury is so severe her spot is in jeopardy, then yes, by all means bring Frantti (i presume). If not, then why would you bring someone when you already have 3 OH's there? It seems like a long trek for no real value. We'll find out in a few days either way I suppose.

But for VNL finals, i don't think they need frantti/lanier if they are going to start with larson/cook/skinner anyway.

Anna Stevenson is gonna have some words... 9 kills, hitting over .600, plus 2 blocks/4 block touches. I was very impressed with her first week of vnl and actually (eye test only, handt looked at the stats) thought she looked better than Chi (which feels blasphemous so say). Though Chi has looked better week 3 than she did week 2. Sad Hall isnât making it to the Olympics this year, bar a devastating injury, but I like what she brings to the court, hope she can stick around for next quad.
