With how Ewert playing so far, I hope Speraw reconsiders this Olympic roster specifically that 4th OH spot. I hate to give credit to Muagututia, because he would not be on my roster lol, but even he has good games every now and then (and today was not one of them). Until Ewert can show anything regularly, I highly doubt this performance is on anyone's radar other than fans. He seemed pretty unmemorable in week 1. That's fair but comparing his performance in week 1 might be a bit unfair given what he got around him. This is the first time we see him playing with the A team. I just don't like Muagututia's game in general. I don't really what he brings to the table. |

the line up changes so much there's no real chemistry with the players. the serving, hitting, blocking, defense-everything everyone looked uninspired and underwhelming, except for Defalco. thank God for Defalco!

I mean...they have to change their lineup. They're missing their A and A- OH... They still seemingly haven't figured out their starting MB's if there even are true starters for that position. This team just does not look good - right now. I gave Ottawa a pass, meh whatever. But now they have what, five weeks(?) to get it together, or it's gonna be Tokyo all over again. |

I can see why people is a little concerned because even if they are missing Aaron and Thomas, Matuatigia is there who is going to the olympics so in theory should be the one stepping up along with TJ and not Ewert. It was the olympics starting line up that was playing there except Ewert. The drop off of play with only one non-olympic position being played should not be that huge. |

Ya, hence why i said what I said, particularly in the second half. This team is not looking good right now. Anderson has not been terminal this VNL. Muagututia was Muagututia. TJ was playing the other OH position today, which in theory should have helped Anderson score more, but sadly he did not. No one seems to know who the two starting MB's are and yet we have barely seen Smith..? |
