Just looked at Michigan State roster. Not close to the number of SMU. Michigan State has 9 transfers on its roster; SMU has 8.

I also just think it’s different. SMU until this season wasn’t even in a major conference. also, it’s not like they all came in this season. Cullen, Perdue, Shime, and Frazier have been here multiple seasons

Cullen, Perdue, Shime, and Frazier have been here multiple seasons Yeah, Erger was able to grab Cullen and Perdue while still in the AAC, and this is both their 3rd season at SMU. Perdue could actually potentially be granted a 6th year, as she redshirted her first year at Arkansas. It feels like Erger is going to continue having to use the transfer portal in these next few seasons, especially with how much they'll be losing. She's a great recruiter, though, and being in the ACC should make it even easier for her.

A lot of DFW girls get to come play closer to home for an up and coming team for a school with good graduate degrees, and now get to compete in a power conference too. I think this may be a really good niche for SMU to grab players from each year.

I remember someone posted it in like one of the Texas threads like two months ago someone asked if Texas would be interested in Stowers and that’s now become a thing even though there isn’t any direct founding behind it And Stowers was at the SMU game, which tbh would be a great fit for her in theory

One of the top recruits in her class, Top 20 iirc. Played at Baylor and was really good as a freshman before dealing with injuries that have prevented her from playing since early 2023 season. She’s looking to transfer somewhere that the medical staff will clear her.

Stowers to SMU would make so much sense. Her connection to Sam Erger, being close to family (which is probably even more important now after all of her medical scares), and they’ll have a starting slot ready for her. Of course I wish she was still at Baylor, but I can get behind her at SMU.

Yeah it’s a wrap.
