uofaGRAD's DAY 1The GoodTori Hester: huge kill, dig, and block numbers, and didn't slack in aces but definitely has room to go up Ali Ruffin: could've been more productive kill wise and especially ace wise, but digs are great and blocks better than I expected. idk i'll take it Brooke Mosher: you were EVERYTHING I knew you could be and more omfg. came through in EVERY. SINGLE. STAT. 7 aces in a sweep!? Looking To ImproveElise McGhee: the serve turned ON in the second match, blocking looks good but bad opponents and she wasn't great volume wise for kills Emery Herman: great dig and blocking match but 0 aces and she was weirdly unaggressive at the net offensively Angeles Alderete: kills were awful, full stop. digs were nice though. serve has room to improve Alyssa Ortega: aces were pretty good, I like the consistency. but the 5 setter and the weird 4 set match against Tex. So. really hurt the digs The BadAvery Scoggins: looked fantastic through 2 sets and then the passing broke down and Rita punished her instead of using a DS... hopefully she starts tomorrow trojansc : how did i not see that GCU setter! ugh! vballfan17 : i TOLD myself to track FGCU and then didnt. stupid me. good pickup. vup : Bradley Brown looks like a nice freshman pickup! again, why was i not looking! Rebecca Watkins: man... i was CONVINCED she was going to run a 5-1. i mean she ran a 5-1 as a freshman before Dozier got back! Tina Grkovic: went 0-2-4 before being yanked. goodbye. Middle Duo (Blane & Mersman): what the HELL happened here? this duo on average had 5.5kps, 0.30saps, and 2.2bps. today, they combined for 4kps, 0saps, and 0.33bps. ATROCIOUS!!! The PickupsIsabella Constantini: 5 aces in 7 sets, and the assist and dig numbers are very nice too. I had been tracking her hoping she's the second coming of Emiliano Kirah Johnson: another one i'd been tracking in case grkovic wanted to slip up. 29 swings for a middle... yes please. hoping she gets some aces tomorrow Andrea Simovski: well the rumors were true, one of the foreign freshmen outsides on this team WAS good. we just had the wrong one. no blocks, but hitting .439 in your college debut while tallying 21 kills is pretty nice. looks like she was aggressive from the service line as well

VUP and vballfreak had the lineup advantage, until 2 of my 4 rostered setters did not play. As I understand it, if Miner doesn't play, then I sub Martin in?

Team vup's Day 1 Round-up
Kira Fallert started the day off strong with 6 aces against FIU. That was a nice way to start the day.
Jurnee Robinson is my absolute MVP thus far. 53 kills in two matches. Plus 6 aces, 25 digs, and 6 blocks. What a stud. Her all-around play looks great so far.
Raven Colvin came through as my 2nd overall pick. 7 kills, 3 aces, and 10 blocks against K-State. 👏👏👏
Aubrey Hamilton and Miëtte Veldman both had solid matches today.
My #1 overall pick, Lexie Almodovar, had a really tough match today. 8 kills and 7 digs in 5 sets in a win against UNI. I'm hoping she can come back from today. She is a crucial player on my team.
Jada Allen of NC State also had a tough day for me. 4 kills and 1 block against Creighton. I wanted to take a risk with her because NC State upset Louisville last year and played a lot of good matches, but I'm definitely gonna need better performances than today. I'm hoping it was just the strength of her opponent.
I dropped Carter Booth, Kacia Brown, and Alexis Mettille. I added Bradley Brown, Mackenzie Martin, and Magda Stambrowska. I want Booth's blocks, of course, but <2.0 kps and not serving is a liability when her only meaningful contribution is in one category most matches. I picked up Magda Stambrowska from St. John's. No idea if that will work out, but her numbers were good today. Kacia Brown, numbers weren't great today. I like what she brings, but I also knew I needed to pick up an upgrade if it came along, and that was Mackenzie Martin. Alexis Mettille, honestly her numbers were good today and I probably dropped her out of general frustration not related to her at all. Brown had a great day today, so I'm hoping she pans out.
I honestly don't know what to do with Dowler. She put up 12 blocks over two matches today, 3 aces and 6 kills..!! but she was at 7.00 aps. I'm not going for assists this week, but I would like to keep that option open with Bauer and Turner as two solid setters for my team.

Overall Day 1 for me was a huge disappointment, almost universally.
I am not getting anything in the secondary and tertiary categories.
Feeling an 0-2 start. Maybe that doofus who chimed in unnecessarily was right and I just suck at Fantasy. Lol
