okay so
July 26-31 c4ndle would be busy
August 6-17 fight on is busy
July 27-August 4 I’m busy (August 1-4 will be *brutal* as it relates to being able to be on my phone)
anybody else have anything? not a preference, but like things that would actively hinder your ability to draft for a certain time frame. might just have to be a what works for the majority thing

wait seriously it was that fast?? hmm… I’m gonna be honest. July 27-August 4 I am going to have very limited time to look at fantasy, ESPECIALLY August 1-4. when’s the first game of the season? not trying to base the draft around me and my schedule, but if no one has objections, then I also don’t want to hold the draft up the first couple days for no reason… if we really did it in 4-5 days, July 26th would probably be better lol but honestly August 9th would be best🫣 that’s like 2.5 weeks before season starts right? 4-5 days really is on the fast side. Probably want to allow at least 7-10 days for the draft. Starting on the 9th would have us finished by the 13th-16th ish. Should be fine. 🤷♂️ preseason scrimmages can start on the 20th - that will give people a ton of info about their teams, so I’d want to ensure that we are done by then. |

But since it’s just that one day I can make sure my draft plan is firm going in and appoint a proxy to handle any pick(s) of mine that happen during that window. |

I'm going to propose that we have a league vote on when to start the draft. We could vote on 3 or 4 dates, and the date with the most votes wins (and votes won't need to meet the 8 vote threshold). I understand wanting to have ample time to look over your picks and make a calculated selection. But scheduling around everybody's conflicts isn't all that realistic either–especially this time of year when there are a lot of people traveling. It's possible we could allow an extension on the pick window to 14-18 hours in some cases. But I find it somewhat unrealistic to schedule around each individual conflict... Just where I'm at right now.

Why not just start early (the original date planned), if it moves slow it moves slow, and I volunteer someone like avid 2.0 to Make picks if people don’t want to send to admins I always thought a live draft would be cool one year, but, I imagine it’d never happen. |

I’d be cool with this actually. you’re right. start early af (July 26th) and just be transparent about when you think you’ll be able to get picks in. that’s like almost a MONTH to draft lmao, if anyone takes like a day then just move on |

Regardless of when we start, I'm not concerned about not being able to finish well before the season starts. Everyone playing are incredibly engaged, even if we have busy times.

There's a lot of pressure in having a high draft pick. Given how big the player pool is this year, I don't think that there is any big benefit in having a high draft pick. Re the #1 pick, I feel like if each of us were asked to pick our top 3 draft picks, we'd all have at least one player in common. |
