Marring plus one of the others (either Jasper for passing/Nika for offense) with Buijs on the right would be better to me than whoever +Plak/Dambrink on the right oh I agree then. Buijs should simply be on court and I have No idea why she isn’t

Did not get a chance to watch this and noticed some complaints about the setting. What was the play distribution between Poulter and Carlini? Did Poulter start and Carlini play sparingly? If one would use this thread as a gauge of performance, you'd think we lost with all the negativity being expressed. Of note Karch said in the following article that this is the first time all year that two matches in a row they were able to start the same seven people. For those following who may I ask were those seven? I believe both setters have their strengths and weaknesses although I am nervous relying on Poulter as she looks like she is not more then 70% of full health at this point.

The dub sub just got us in a bigger hole. Should have kept Poulter and Drew’s in and let them ride it out. Carlini and JT didn’t make things any better It's not just this match. The #Agenda have been slamming Poulter all summer and praising Carlini, but we're not better with LC despite what they'd make you think. Hancock had the best play of a setter this summer (not much, but it's been bleak) and she's staying home. It's not an agenda. Poulter has sucked. Like really bad blocking, outside setting and slow AF. The Poulter that played VNL...she's not as good as LC. Healthy? Better for sure.

Poulter is absolutely dragging that leg around... I will leave it to the setting experts to break down the statistics and techniques. As mentioned above, she struggled to get to balls that she would normally get with ease... Hoping for continued improvement for her health between now and Paris...

Poulter played first 2.5ish sets, the carlini finished out the next 1.5 sets. Starters were: Poulter/Drews Cook/Plummer Chi/Washington JWO

Marring/Jasper/Buijs
Or Jasper/Knollema/Marring (OPP) Or Jasper/Nika/Marring (OPP)
Why Felix hasn’t tried this is beyond me.

But the only comments I read in the thread were negative on Poulter and Carlini. Wish I would have watched but it was on BallerTV which I think is a subscription to see for my self instead of relying on what is usually a lotta stans venting against players that shouldn't be playing in their mind. It gets annoying.

"Not as good as LC" is a conclusory statement unsupported by what's been produced on court. Just continuing to trash Poulter doesn't change that.

USA played 13 sets against the Netherlands and went 10-3 in total. USA was 4-3 when Lauren started and 6-0 when Jordyn started. I don't expect the USA to medal, but if they do, it's likely because Jordyn was healthy enough to get them there.
