IMO USA volleyball/Speraw choosing to not utilize Patch and his talents directly led to our 10th place finish. The proof is in the pudding. Scoreboard. IMO USA volleyball has had no other athlete with Patch's combination of athleticism, size and international arm at OPP since. Nobody. There's a reason why Taylor Sander left the program. LOL COMPARING PATCH AND SANDER 😂😂😂 That is hysterical, and saying Sander “left”… as if there was a realistic choice |

Ben Patch wasn't just pissed and being a sore loser as most here are suggesting. He wasn't just being emotional as if that is something bad after a heartbreaking rejection as most here are eluding. He was crushed mentally and took a toll on his mental health. He didn't just left the national team but left the sports all together. IMO USA volleyball/Speraw choosing to not utilize Patch and his talents directly led to our 10th place finish. The proof is in the pudding. Scoreboard. IMO USA volleyball has had no other athlete with Patch's combination of athleticism, size and international arm at OPP since. Nobody. There's a reason why Taylor Sander left the program. I think it’s pretty well documented why Taylor Sander left… playing overseas for 8-9 months a year away from family, he has 2 kids, always knew he wanted to switch to beach, indoor is tough on your body, Taylor Crabb needed a partner. To say Sander left indoor because of Speraw and/or USAV is quite the statement. I mean he was even made the captain in 2018 & 2019. But back to Kessel- not whining. Just making his feelings known. Athletes do it all the time when they don’t get chosen for tournaments (seems very common in soccer) |

Congrats Cody on a terrific effort. He is well liked and appreciated by the staff and team in Paris.

Sure- I was commenting on the other posters insinuation that he left the national team because of Speraw and USAV. Whatever the reason, he’s doing well on the Beach and this is about Cody. |
