Don’t know what to think about this one, it’s good that they’re being more competitive in games but it’s hard not to walk out of this not feeling completely demoralized. Next year will be a very definitive one for the JFO era for sure.

I think this team is getting worse. I had to rank the top five collegiate programs in the State of Ohio
1. Dayton (by far the best and it is not even close)
2. Wright State (they beat Ohio State)
3A. Cincinnati (The only two P4 programs in the State are not very good)
3B. Ohio State (How many players on Dayton or Wright State would the Buckeyes love to have)
5. Bowling Green

Dayton- 15
Wright State- 39
Ohio State- 86
Bowling Green- 87
Cleveland State- 100
Toledo- 106
Cincinnati- 138

This says plenty about the current situation at Ohio State (Cincinnati and Xavier @206 too). Not to mention that Ohio State losses their unquestioned best player next season and their best Middle. On paper things are going to get worse before they get better.

The silver lining from a bad season so far is that Sellman, Hasbrook, and Brandewie gives them a decent foundational base to build a lineup around.
For JFO, next year is probably make or break. Priorities in the portal are probably
1) starting pin capable of carrying a decent workload
2) starting middle
3) Experienced DS who you can plug and play
Not sure how they feel about setter but my guess is the staff feels ok enough about Tuman to keep rolling with her.

Agree that the top priority is another hitter, because Egan and Wrobel can't be trusted to be healthy. I would rather get a better starting setter and roll the dice on highly related recruit Kaia Castle at middle and use Hoffman, who I think has been pretty good in her limited chances, at DS. |

This we will just go to the portal to change our trajectory in the B10 is unlikely to happen. Players that can win at the top of the B10 will also be sought after by teams already at the top of the B10. Especially, when the program needs 3-4 impact players. They aren't very close now and lose Londot/Rader.

not sure if anyone's watching, but Grace Egan is playing against MSU. seems like she's subbing for Sellman back row.
edit: jk she's playing front row now so idk. idk why Sellman was subbed out for her and not Wuebker?

okay and now, at 23-22 MSU in the first set, a horn has been blaring nonstop for maybe five minutes and no one seemingly can figure out how to make it stop lmfao
