Sorry don't watch much men's vball and trying to change that but what does Flexen touch? I see he's listed as 6'9" but he also seems to jump so high. I know it is over 12+ that was 2 years ago when my son was playing with him.

Has lawrence from PR regressed or coming back from injury? I can’t see why he’s playing this level of competition.

Younger one played club with Rotman also. But I think it was 12'2" back then.

He routinely hits over blocks and inside the 10 foot line in every match he plays. He also was hitting over three NAIA All Americans in a 6'9" Setter, 6'8" MH and 6'8" Opp from Vanguard in the 2023 NAIA semis, until he got tired. They all had to touch close to 12 feet. Flexon hit .400 on 65 swings in the match (lost in 5 but he was an absolute beast).

Today he was subbed out for Rottman in the middle of the Mexico match. Andy started yesterday's finishing lineup with Micah playing middle. Both Zach and Toby were also switched out for Grant and DiAeris. At 6-3 Nick missed 3 sets pretty bad to allow Mexico to tie teh score at 6-6 in the 5th but the team recovered and he set well enough to finish with a USA win. No balls went to the middle in the 5th and not a lot toward teh end of the match. The 7'2"+ Cuban middle that was on the U21 team is playing opp in this tournament and looked good today in a sweep over PR. I wonder what his true height is.

Agree he has been inconsistent at times at UCI, but I will go out on a limb and predict that he will be on the roster in 2028.

I think out of anyone on this roster, Robinson is most likely to make the roster in 2028. Curious to see how the next 4 years pan out

People love vert... but the truth is that vertical touch is only a part of what makes a world class player and there are lots of high vertical player than never get there and lots of world class players that don't touch that high but get it done other ways. I think there are 20+ guys that are in the running for the 5-6 pin roster spots in 2028 and Flexen is bottom half for me but it is early. He has looked decent yesterday and today (much better than his average UCI performances) and the fact that he was in the starting lineups both days means something.
