The real head scratcher is Davis Freshman Cordero-Barr. 29 kills on the season and .129 hitting % I think that the all-Freshmen team is pretty generous with their selections, but she did average 2.15 digs/set in conference play since she came in as a defensive specialist. Though at the same time, Leyva for Hawaii averaged 2.30 digs/set in conference play, but she got no nod on the all-freshmen team.

Paulina Baillie started at libero for UCSD and won a couple of weekly awards but got nothing

Yes they’re pretty generous with the freshman team as they don’t have a lot of freshman starters
Hakas got it last year a part time starter

Big West AwardsPlayer of the Year: Caylen Alexander, JR, OH, Hawai'i Setter of the Year: Kate Lang, SR, Hawai'i Libero of the Year: Tayli Ikenaga, SR, Hawai'iFreshman of the Year: Eva Travis, OH, UCSB Coach of the Year: Caroline Walters, Cal Poly I think if CSUN had higher standing, Paige Sentes would've gotten Libero of the Year. She was digging everything against UH

Light and Travis have near identical stats, so either could of made it. BUT, Bullis was robbed. Should have been on over Pulling YAY for Alexander and Lang though. Icons I also agree Bullis should have been First team! I also think Katie Smith was robbed, should have gotten Second Team. I think Sydney Dunning is great and good for CSUB but I would choose Smith.

pretty certain the BWCT champion will be playing a WCC team (LMU/SD/Pepp) first round of the NCAAs at Palo ALto if the winner is Poly/Beach/Davis/Hawaii, with Stanford to play Fresno/San Jose if either of those win the MWC tourney. If UCSD/Irvine win, they might get Stanford 1st round possibly or shipped out

If it's hawaii ... other possibility is being shipped up to oregon ... that's happened in the past too ...

The real head scratcher is Davis Freshman Cordero-Barr. 29 kills on the season and .129 hitting % well she played well today to make a difference so I guess some things you just cant decide by looking at numbers
---edit---
Or maybe you can... 17 reception errors from 402 total... That's 0.958 and also 2.07 digs/set

Congrats to UCSD and UCI for good 2024 campaigns!
UCSD will finish with their second straight winning season as they increased their Big West win total to 11 wins from 9 wins in 2023.
UCI will also finish with a winning record, improving on their 2023 season, and highlighted by their series sweep of Hawaii.
Go Big West!

If it's hawaii ... other possibility is being shipped up to oregon ... that's happened in the past too ... Hawaii will have no regional bound by it's rules and is eligible to be shipped off anywhere. Basically where'ever there is a regional puka. The Northwest is a popular spot to be sent just because there are rarely 4 teams. (But now that they are all in different conferences, it might make things a little easier some years)

As long as Hawai'i is being shipped out, they are eligible/able to be shipped out anywhere, and they'll be placed where ever it is convenient for the bracket.
