Brooke Delano, a 6-foot-4 first-team Super-Stater in volleyball and basketball, is the second in-state in the class of 2007 to commit to Nebraska. Any Husker fans seen her play? Only saw her play in the State Volleyball Tourney. From just that I thought she needed work still to get to the level to be in rotation on the Huskers team. But I'm not a coach, and there is lots of time to get her in synch. She is quick, and more solid build than Pavan. Will make a stronger blocker.

I've seen Brooke play a ton over the past four years. She is very athletic, very quick but many times at the HS level not very driven in matches. I've have talked to her club coaches and her HS coaches, she has a lot of work to do in terms of working hard. The potential is there athletically. What's John Cook gonna say at a press conference??? Yeah she needs a lot of work on how to work hard???

I don't disbelieve what you are saying, I know differently! She has a lot of potential.

Maybe she's one of those athletes that everythings comes so naturally for that she hasn't developed a good work ethic yet.

I'm not saying that Brooke won't become a great player, she's got some major work to do. I remember how frustrated we all were with Kropp her freshman year, she just didn't seem motivated or a hard worker and look what Cook did with her!

I believe Banwarth was only promised being on scholarship 2 out of 4 years.

How many schollies does Nebraska have for '07? And what in the hell is he going to do with all those people? Come in second again in the National Championship. (Sorry. Cheap, but fun, shot.) Last time I checked, they came first.

I know Delano was on the All-tourney team at the Nike Tournament in Chicago, i also know that Alix Klineman made that team too (Obviously) so that shows where delano is with national competition.

Delano is a great kid who plays high above the net. She could beat out Cooper at the end of next season. Her club coach works close with Cook and will have her prepared. Looks like noone can tell cook that he is losing the best nebraska kids.
