Brooke Delano, a 6-foot-4 first-team Super-Stater in volleyball and basketball, is the second in-state in the class of 2007 to commit to Nebraska.
Any Husker fans seen her play?

By my tally (and according to Rich Kern <G>), that's 6 --
Lindsey Licht 6-5 OH/RS Aurora CO Tara Mueller 6-2 OH Scottsdale AZ Kayla Banwarth 5-10 OH Dubuque IA Danielle Minch 6-0 MB Sterling CO Brooke Delano 6-4 MB Bellevue NE Jordan Wilberger 6-1 MB Scottsbluff NE
How many schollies does Nebraska have for '07? And what in the hell is he going to do with all those people?

I've seen her play but I didn't really take much notice. I remember her being a very good athlete--not a huge jumper but quick and big.

I saw Brooke play BB as a sophomore in the state tourney and I saw her play volleyball as a junior in the state finals. In volleyball Delano was playing on a badly sprained ankle but she still was very quick and intimidating on the floor.

Was not overly impressed with Brooke but then again I also wondered why NU recruited Christinia Houghtelling. I was blown away by her dominaiton last year.

Also Banwarth is only going to be on scholarship 3 out of 4 years. I'm assuming that the one year Banwarth probably won't be on scholarship is her 1st year.

when cook announced the girls of 2007 they held a press conference and was talking about all the girls, and said one of the main reasons for recruiting Delano is because of her work ethic, so i dont know what you are talking about saying she has no work ethic

Brooke is a good athlete. She has a lot of work to do to become a D1 caliber middle, but we'll see what happens. I don't know if Jordan will ever see the floor.
I don't think she plays club, and I wasn't that impressed with her. She is a very good athlete, so maybe Cook is thinking that they will train her the way they want to.
The others should contribute after red-shirting next season. I would suspect that a few of these girls will not be on scholarship next season.
Plus, he needs players to take Ben and Bill's spot on the practice side of the net.

Except Kansas and Iowa. And Oklahoma. And most of Colorado. And the Dakotas.
