Te Big East is a mess so far this year. Notre Dame and Louisville losing to "everyone" and St. Johns beat Pittsburgh on the road (I believe) last weekend. It's not like I'm not aware SJ is having a good year. But Louisville was the smart pick. I've found that the more thought I put into this, the worse I do. And that's the advantage Pablo has. It can't be talked into picking an upset or leaning on biases.

Alberta, we didn't mess up. The teams we picked did.

I've found that the more thought I put into this, the worse I do. No doubt you have always been a quick study, Mr R, but your entry was posted a mere six minutes after the contest was first posted. (I might add, drawing a Ms. Austenish inquiry in a following post: "Re: NEW Pick-the-Winners Contest - Week 6 « Reply #4 on Sept 25th, 2006 at 4:29pm » Geez, (R)uffda was it that easy this week or are you that familiar with all the teams since all matches involve one or more contenders for the top 30? "

I didn't put a lot of thought into it. I thought the picks were obvious this week. It's the exception that proveth the rule. I think San Francisco over San Diego was my only pick where I went against my instincts.
