To me she has the fastest start of all Wahine freshmen from day 1 at the way she has played so far.

I'm not about to give up on Sanders yet. If she improves her blocking, she can be AA material. However, I like the idea of Kaufman playing for her in the WAC matches while Sanders rests her nagging injuries.

Sanders played well tonight too. She hit over .300 and she had 6 blocks. I can't help but wonder what will happen next year with Sanders, Gregory, Kaufman, and Thomas. Oh well, they can worry about that later.

SO if Hawaii doesn't get Amber, we at least have Kaufman- quite possibly who will be performing like Kim W in her 3rd and 4th years. .

If Hittle, Arnott and Thomas can be at full strength next year, they will be loaded in the middle and both outsides. It could've happened this year, but...

Which is why I think Shoji should keep playing Blood this year. Poor girl won't get a chance next year with all those scholarship players returning.

If Kaufman was available against Florida, Stanford and UCLA, I wonder how things might have been.

Don't forget possibly Otineru could return; Mafua looks to be the starting setter; Thomas/Hittle return.

So if next year, Houston and Hittle will be on the Left Side, Gregory, Thomas and Sanders at Middle Blocker, and Keefe returning to the Right, with Kaufman a starting candidate at both middle and right side, what happens to the senior, Alicia Arnott? Will she seriously have a chance at starting?

Will she seriously have a chance at starting? Arnott, unless she really makes some drastic improvements over the next year, likely won't start next year. Her best aspect is that she is probably the second best overall player on the team next to Hittle. She is a decent passer, great server, decent hitter and blocker, and a pretty good digger. However, also keep in mind that Klineman or Otineru might also be in the mix for a starting position, which means Keefe might also be seeing the bench.
