UCLA is going to have a very difficult schedule in the 2nd half of the Pac10 season.

I voted for Nebraska. In the next week or so, they have two tough road games: Mizzou and Texas. If they win them both, they show why they are ranked #1.
The Pac-10 is pretty tough, I can see UCLA or USC stumbling in any of their next 5. Of course, they'll come out of the next ten games with at least one loss, but they're playing some mightily powerful teams!

UCLA is going to have a very difficult schedule in the 2nd half of the Pac10 season. The same could be said for USC...

More difficult, since they also play @ UCLA.

Texas as of late has always played NU tough at home. Therefore you never know; at the same time I think i'm going out on a limb on this one because the Longhorns have been stinking up when they shouldn't this season so..... eh.

One thing this poll doesn't do is take into account any matches that will be forfeit after USC is investigated for professional players.

Based on the dates_and_the opponent, I chose USC. If Missouri plays NU as flawlessly as they played TEXAS, then NU could be the first to lose. But I think NU is looking forward to_and_ready to play a very good Missouri team on the road.

Obviously the games after the 20th are irrelevant since either USC or UCLA (most likely USC) will lose on the 20th. The quesiton is whether UNL or PSU lose before then and whether USC or UCLA lose to Stanford next weekend.
PSU should not lose to Northwestern, Illinois or Michigan. There is a slight chance of UNL losing to Missouri, and a greater chance of them losing at Texas (depending, of course, on which UTA team shows up), but I think the best chance amoung the four teams of losing prior to the 20th is USC losing to Stanford on the 12th.

Very interesting schedules UCLA and USC have the next two weeks. If they can manage to get out of unscratched next weekend, its a tough job for UCLA to try and win in the Lyan Center (?). However one of them might be able to go to the distance, they have enough talents. UCLA's wins over Florida and Hawaii may not look good since both programs havent looked too good, but that may because the bruins deflated both teams. Nebraska and Penn State's schedules are nowhere near as tough, so I think they may go undefeated for now.

I agree with Husky VB Fan's analysis. NU and PSU are facing opponents that may hope to beat them, but probably won't. USC and UCLA are playing each other.
Recently, USC has shown more vulnerability than UCLA has, going to five games against Oregon and Arizona State. UCLA has the lower Pablo ranking, having dropped games in pre-season to the likes of Denver and Texas State. I have a nagging voice telling me that USC will lose when they meet, but I picked UCLA to lose first because it's an "away" game for them.

For the match against UCLA on Oct 20 (friday), it has been moved to Lyon Center as there is a big gala concert being held at the Galen Center on Sat, Oct 21, to celebrate the completion of the Galen Center. Obviously, with all the set-up for the concert, they need a couple of days to get the place ready (and scrubbed), and so, the USC/UCLA match will be the last match being held at the Lyon Center. For Stanford and Cal, these will be held in Galen Center, and FSN will telecast the Stanford match live on thursday, preceded by a 1/2 hour show showing the Galen Center and the pre-game festivities.
