Stats show that Britenriker, Nzenwa, and Fisher have been key in Kentucky making big strides. Great job recruiting by Skinner! All high flying offensive threats. Great setter and libero also. Where did Kentucky find Nzenwa from, I don't remember hearing much about her. That kid is flat out scary when she jumps!!

What is sad is that they bring their game when they need to and then loose against Ole Miss and Alabama. Alabama can be tough, but when you take Florida to 5 games and then loose in 3 to Alabama, something is wrong.

Skinner is a good coach and doing a great job BUT he didn't recruit any of those kids...except kinda Britenriker when she decided to transfer....just setting the record straight. He is a good recruiter, though and will be succesful in the years to come.

Exciting that their top 3 attackers are all back next season. (Nzenwa and Fisher only being Sophomores)!! I know Britenriker transfered from Ohio State and I think Fisher was a Sting kid (weird Wisconsin let her go???) Is Nzenwa a foriegn kid? It says she is from Baltimore but nobody new much about her. Was she just under the radar in HS or what?

She was in the top 100 for Tawa's list. I'm pretty sure that Skinner brought in the sophomore class, that includes Canadian Tess Edwards.

If I remember correctly, not only did Kentucky lose to Florida in 5 but it beat Tennessee in 5.

Losing to Ole Miss is bad, but losing to Alabama on their home floor isn't. But you are right, Kentucky needs to find consistency and play on the road, the way they do at home. They are jekyll and hyde

Scott Carter brought Queen to Kentucky when he served as the assistant coach and recruiting coordinator there under Jona. Carter has always had a knack for finding talent that many times gets overlooked by other recruiters and many people slept on Queen. It's nice to see that she's doing well under Skinner and helping the Wildcats move up in the SEC.

Thanks for the info simply. I recently found out that Carter also brought in Fisher before the coaching change. Either way, it is good to see the Cats making strides. Skinner is bringing in some great talent to add to the recruiting success that was being established when he took over. GO CATS!!

How do you think Kentucky will fare against the Mississippi schools? They both just took down Alabama and the CATS are coming off a tough weekend!!

HUGE weekend for the CATS!!! Taking down Tennessee and Alabama. They have rebounded pretty well from the 3 game losing streak they had 2 weeks ago.
The usual suspects are at work. (Nzenwa-19 kills vs. Tennessee, Fisher-25 kills vs. Alabama, talk about on-fire!!) Britenriker also taking care of business.
I'm telling you, these athletes are the real deal and I'm glad Kentucky is (finding and getting impact players) that can take them back to the TOP! You could make a statement that Kentucky could be the 2nd, definately 3rd best team in the SEC right now. Any thoughts??

I'm sorry, has the statement "the real deal" been used in this thread before.............I must have missed that.
Or, I know..........maybe Gator fans feel a little threatened that athletes like Nzenwa (who had 10 blocks against them) just might be the type of athlete to do to them what Tennessee did to them last year..............knock them down a peg or two!
