WOW! A loss like this and the Texas loss means.....
Texas and Cal flip-flop. After all, it was a Pac 10 loss which is almost as good as a win in another conference. And Texas lost to the #1 team in 5 games so you can't help but move them up. Despite that both matches were lost on home courts.
Congrats to the Ducks.

You have it wrong. Oregon moves into the Top 10 with her other 5 Pac10 sisters...

Lets see now. Long Beach has lost to Nebraska #1, Cal Poly #19, Oregon (who just beat a team that was in the top ten a great deal of the season), and Sac State(clearly our worst loss, but a team that regularly beats Stanford....we also beat Missouri (sweep) who is currently #12.....just might not be such a horrible team after all......not what we normally expect, but maybe just not such a bad team after all

I thought they had a great recruiting class? Are there injuries?

Sac State is better than they are getting credit for ... so that helps your case even more.
Cal Poly rematch is big for the Niners.

OK, I think we need to stop "Piling on" BearClause... I hope his team can rebound and salvage the season...

Cal's a solid Top 20 team. BC's been saying that all along.
Apparently, Oregon is, too -- as many have suspected.

Any chance Oregon is just better than Cal at this point? Remove the Game 2 stats and the Ducks had the better numbers across the board. GO DUCKS! My prediction is UO moves into the AVCA poll at lucky No. 13.

Cal needs to get healthy. And I think Feller seriously needs to look at his line up and make some decisive changes to fix things. If Cutura regains her form, Cal will be quite dangerous come tournament time. But now it looks like the Bears will tumble out of the top 10 and they'll be lucky if they can reach 5th in the Pac 10. Well - I'm not one to list what the fundamental problems are for this team. I will say that they blew their chances - especially tied up at 27 in game 1 and with chances to close out game 3. Cal definitely has more talent than Oregon, but to some degree I think that three game road trip through Stanford, UCLA, and USC sapped some of their confidence. I think they need to win first (hopefully Oregon State does the trick) then work on all the things that got them into the conference season. When they're firing on all cylinders, they can be as dominating as game 2 showed. That was just a blocking clinic where Oregon had no answers (there's one other thing I'm not going to go into detail here). Outside of that, there rest of the match was fairly evenly matched. Hana said she's fine and is feeling no pain in her foot. Still - she doesn't seem to have the same form I saw earlier in the season, and I regaining that form could be the key to turning around this season. She's also wearing a different shoe than the rest of the team (it's black). Some have noted that Morgan Beck is playing middle, which is primarily true. However - Natalie Smart is actually opposite of middle Ellen Orchard, and Morgan plays middle on most of here front row rotations. Also - Kat Reilly healthy and in at middle could make the rest of the lineup work so much smoother. She's aching to get in, but I don't know if the Cal coaching staff is looking to redshirt her.

Texas was the one team I wasn't sure about. I thought they could be higher since they did take the #1 team to 5 games. However, since the #1 team was from the Big 12 and not a Pac 10 team I had to discount the loss somewhat.
