P-Dub, I thought in that good run in game three like we really started playing some "boiler ball" that looked like the team we thought we were ganna see all year. I think the boilers are getting the kinks out, and getting ready to roll.
Look out Penn State and OSU the boilers will be at your places next weekend, with some student support on the far away road matches!!
GO BOILERS!!
also, Pierce and Mel were both out in street clothes...

Yeah, but then there was always that run in game 2, where Purdue looked really, really bad.
Don't overinterpret what you see against teams like Iowa and Indiana. They played very well, exceptionally well, at times, but then again, they had also showed carelessness that they can't afford.
I asked Sam Gray after the match when was the last time she served 10 points in a row. She looked at me weird, until I told her that is how many she actually served (it may have been 9, but close enough). She said she doesn't remember ever serving 10 points straight.
Only three service errors for Purdue on the night. That makes a difference.
Next week's competition won't quite be the same as we saw this week, though.

I guess Purdue must have fallen asleep there for a while, but otherwise it was pretty much as expected. Purdue fans must have really liked the reaction the Boilers had to their struggles late in the second game.

Unlike when they played at Iowa, I never felt like it was going to get away. Even when Iowa kept tying it up at the end of the second game, I took it pretty much for granted that Purdue would take it eventually. And then the third was nice.
I will say, I really like Fister's setting to the pin. She shoots the ball across really quick.
