impress me a little more and pick the second team to dance... ;D Clemson, Virginia and Florida St are hovering w/in 3 spots of each other in the RPI that was just released (right around the 70 mark). And there is a logjam after Duke in the ACC standings, w/those 3 teams (along with Wake) with 3 or 4 losses each. The ACC teams have basically been beating up on each other... how do you pick a second team to go, especially if 2 or more end up tying in the league standings ... a definite possibility the way things have been playing out so far. Prepare to be impressed Clemson will finish 2nd and dance. i can see why Clemson would be a good choice. using GTech as the point of comparison, Clemson beat them 3-0, while Va and FSU needed 5 games in their wins. that said, i think FSU could make a case for itself. but if there continues to be a logjam for second place in the conference standings, the NCAA cmte will be hard pressed to give an at large bid for a 2nd ACC team.

Duke rebounded with a 3-2 win over Clemson.
FSU lost to Maryland today in 5. It's def. looking more and more like a 1 bid league. Duke is the only ACC team in the top 67 of the RPI, they are 35, though I imagine they drop after their loss to GaTech(RPI 155). Clemson and UVA are 68 and 69 and FSU at 71. That's just not good enough right now to get an at large bid.

um......how bout a congrats GT?!?! It looks like it was a battle. 2 out of last 3 for GT (5 game loss at UVA ) maybe they have righted the ship. Nice win, but...so? Two years ago GT was almost in the Final Four.
