Hawaii should move up to 7 with their powerful win over Idaho. :-D :-D Idaho should move into the top 25 with their powerful presence in front of more people than they have ever seen assembled before, to say nothing of having battled through several time zones into a radically different climate where most of the food available was not canned. I also think that the top ten "should" be (not to be confused with how I think the AVCA ranking will be): Nebraska Stanford Washington UCLA Penn State USC Wisconsin Minnesota Florida Texas Where do you buy your crack?

"Captain Obvious"? First time I've heard this. You mean that's not one of your "Wolfgang Originals"?

I know the UCSB loss for Wisconsin doesn't look good, but shouldn't wins over Penn State, Purdue, Ohio, San Diego, Oklahoma, and Ohio State among teams ranked this week balance that and the four losses to ranked teams out and put them above Cal? It should, but it probably won't. I think they should move ahead of Purdue. Minnesota is still ahead of them in the conference race and beat them, so the Gophers should stay ahead of them. A five game loss to PSU and sweep of OSU shouldn't hurt them too much in the polls.

It would not surprise me in the least if the Badgers are ranked ahead of the Gophers. There were only 48 points separating Wisconsin/Purdue/Minnesota.

And it's (correct "it's" used for Wolfgang) still insulting that the SIXTH place Pac10 team is ranked ahead of the second place Big10 team. I'm sorry, but it is.

Cal is woefully overranked, and they probably know it as well. So is Utah. They probably don't know it. But I'm betting their dance in the NCAA's will be a short one.....

I like Cal a lot. I was mainly trying to get someone to rip on me. (Didn't work yet.)

BTW, I expect Duke to drop out of the rankings and be replace by Oregon. Their bad luck that they suffered a loss so soon after getting recognized.
AVCA to Duke: "We hope you enjoyed your visit. Maybe we'll see you again before the season's over."
