According to the Stanford daily, it happened during the game while all of there bags and wallets were in the lockeroom. That really stinks. I hope the University was able to reimburse them for that.

Totally sucks, especially when you're a college student.
Hey you Pac-10 teams that are going to Arizona next... bring traveler's checks!

That really stinks. Are the LOCKer rooms not LOCKED? If they are then you would believe that it is someone who works for the university and has access to the locker room.

This is a really poor reflection on ASU's athletic department and facilities people. What kind of program doesn't lock the visiting lockerroom? What kind of three-ring circus are they running?

What women's collegiate volleyball team takes $1200 with them to a road trip in Arizona? Was there some planned shopping to make up for the lack of competition? The article says that their "large bills" were taken out of their wallets. Not to take the responsibility off the perpetrators, but come on people...why would this much money be in a locker room? Of course the room should have been locked, but aren't college students supposed to be poor? I knows it Stanford but geez...$1200.

Well let's think about this (a do the math): 14 players, 3 coaches, 1 volunteer coach, 1 director of operations, 1 trainer, 1 student manager, 1 student trainer, 1 media person. 23 people... $1200 = $52.00/person. Doesn't sound like that much when you're on the road. Also, not all of them are college students either. Don't know about you cardfan15 but if I'm out of town for a weekend I'd take at least $ 52.00. And the big bills would be... oh, say... $20.00 bills. Big for a college student. Inj even referred to putting her 20's in her spandex next time. Good for her. LOL.

I'm pretty sure they get per diem for meals. These are mostly kids from middle class families, whose parents can afford to send money or give them reasonable bank accounts. I've heard stories of what players do, like go out to eat or to a nearby mall. Once in HS, I saw the UCLA VB team walking down Telegraph Ave checking out the street vendors, and maybe even picking up a few items. They have spending money. Word on the street is that Barboza scored BIG at the BlackJack table earlier in the week. Would it be an NCAA violation to spread it around with her teammates. And isn't she only 19? ;D

Has anyone thought this might be an inside job? Inside as in Stanford?
I'd keep an eye on John. Just see if he shows up with a new watch or something.

Arizona couldn't afford their uniforms so they needed to steel Nji's $20's and Foluke's Ipod to cover the expenses.......LOL.............

that sucks. i was at this game and the way the arena is, no random people off the street could know their way around their. but i always see people walk down the tunnel, like other athletes from basketball, etc. those games are so empty, it would be obvious to say it had to be someone that knew their way around. and there is no staff at UA or ASU like there is at other schools. But VB is not like men's BB or football either. I don't think they have the same staff for vb like they would for BB. That does look bad for ASU though. But it does happen every where. ASU should be held accountable for paying back. I'm sure Stanford locks their locker room up when they visit.
