That Bama won isn't all that shocking. That they did on the road, down 0-2, well that's surprising. Tennessee still doesn't seem settled on a lineup and I'm sure the chemistry on court is affected. I still think they have time and talent to turn this around. I can guarantee they will play their best match of the year when Florida comes to town.

Tennessee was up 2-0 in the match and up in game three when a player suffered what appears to be a pretty significant injury. They were never the same after that, looked like they were just going thru the motions until the end of the match on the video stream.

Oh man, I just saw in the Bama writeup that Stoyanova tore her ACL and is done for the year. That is devastating and I feel so bad for her and the team. Man, that really sucks.

IB, I do respect that you keep this board alive. What I don't like is that you sometimes make judgements before you know what is going on. Tennessee dominated Alabama, and was up in the third, until their best player went down with a serious injury.
As a fan of kids, I wish you wouldn't call them a flash in the pan, or chokers. From the video, it looked like the played hard, but as you know, seeing a fellow player have a serious injury can affect your play.

The lunatics havent left.... i think we post almost every day....... Maybe but you guys have little to no alacrity posting about this years Volunteer team. Not surprising actually, considering that Tennessee is struggling. I told you guys last season that a 2 week run in december does not qualify your program as an "elite" program. Tennessee is no longer in the top 25...that is the difference between elite programs and "also- rans". An Elite program can lose 3 starters for the season and still maintain a top 20 ranking. An "also- ran" falls out of the top 25 rather easily. What happened to Stoyanova sucks but the Vols were on the decline well before Stoyanova went down with the ACL tear.

Now if Stoyanova played at Hawai'i and was injured that would be a legitmate excuse for a loss.

It is unfortunate that Alabama chose to put that in their game story. With HIPPA regulations being what they are, even Tennessee's Sports Information office is not allowed to release injury info without a signed waiver by the athlete and doctor. Secondly, there certainly hasn't been an MRI yet to confirm a possible diagnosis. Not very classy of Alabama's orginization, in my opinion.
