Now you're just being an ass. Must be bitter after the football loss clinched the SEC East for the Gators. I was asking a legit question and you go an act like that. You deserve all the bashing on this thread with that.

I don't know exactly the team / school's policy on disclosing this kind of stuff, but i think i shouldnt say anything about her injury that doesnt come from an official press release type thing...
Thank you for showing concern though... I'll post something as soon as i hear any sort of "official" word on it.
Also i kindof slammed hawaii in my original post... I realize you have a great program with thousands of great fans, im only addressing a small number of them...

I don't mean to interrupt the internet argument, but is there any update on Yulia? I hope it's not as serious as a torn ACL. Tennessee's policy for releasing athlete info on injuries is that there will be no official word on the exact injury unless the player requests that it be released. In sports that get alot of media coverage (FB, men's and women's BB), they release info on surgeries, etc. as athletes allow, but in non-revenue sports, there is typically no release. UT's soccer team has lost its entire freshman class this season to leg injuries, but the exact injury to each athlete has never been put into a release by UT.

Dang, i was just messing around Gator, true a little bitter about the loss, but i didnt see us winning the east anyway, cause Fla isnt going to lose anyone, so i was already passed that. To be completely 100 percent honest with you, we know just as much as you. Im sure we will all hear very soon.....And like Chance said, thanks for showing concern...

Tennesse has tons of potential. Right now they just dont seem to have a leader on the floor. Even when stoyanova was out there the girls didnt seem to respect her that much. She is gifted in this sport but to be one of the best and to have people talk highly of you, you need to have the respect of your team mates. Also you need to be able to make something out of bad plays and not blame others on the team. She is a great player but chemistry wise i think they will be better without her. I havnt given every single player an in depth interview on the subject, but the players i have talked to seem get along with her just fine... I'm not on the bench or in the locker room, so i dont know for sure, but she has never seemed like the head case this post makes her out to sound like.

and she tore her miniscus or however it is spelled. A meniscus tear is much less severe than an ACL. Although at this point in the season, it would be considered a season ending injury.

A meniscus tear is much less severe than an ACL. Although at this point in the season, it would be considered a season ending injury. Not if she did both. If she tore both then I would suggest keeping a supply of Vicodin handy. I tore the meniscus and ACL on my right knee a couple of years ago. The worst part of recovery occurs in the weeks following reconstructive surgery. I wish her the best.

Hey Chance What's up with using my quote from last year without due recognition for your signature, or whatever that's called below your posts?

Since when does Tennessee have the best women's program in the country? Since Pat Summitt said so. I don't know about the best, since that is all subjective. But obviously they are very very good in basketball. They have strong programs in softball and gymnastics too. And before anyone says who cares about those sports, remember 90 percent of the people outside of this forum view volleyball in the same light.

Soccer also won the SEC regular season and tournament last year, and is top 25 this year. I think they also having excellent crew / rowing and track type teams, but im not positive. Hey Chance What's up with using my quote from last year without due recognition for your signature, or whatever that's called below your posts? I hadnt notice it wasnt showing up... Apparently i pasted it wrong and accidently cut out part of the "quote" thing... I'll try and fix it edit: the HTML to make it show up normally is too many characters, but i jury rigged it in there.

and she tore her miniscus or however it is spelled. Thanks for ignoring what the other Tennessee posters were saying and posting injury information. In ADDITION to privacy issues, it's best to keep the other teams in the dark as to injury specifics... Read this old post from Deerpark... Tough to know, Tennessee is very, very tight-lipped about injuries. Morris was out of practice the entire week before the first Florida game and noone knew she was even hurt until after the match when she didn't play. She knew, the team knew, but noone else. South Carolina was not aware that Stoyanova was out until she showed up in street clotes for the warm-up. If she returns is anyone's guess. If the other team knows whether somebody will be in or out of uniform, it is going to affect their practice. They can either not prepare for a player they think is injured, and be poorly prepared, OR they can waste practice time preparing / gameplanning for a player who winds up not playing in the game. For the most part it's not incredibly significant, but sometimes it is, and every little bit helps. And of course once again, thats in addition to privacy issues... However, in this case bsoecmaajj is jumping the gun. The conclusive word about her injury really has not come yet. His statement may in fact wind up being true, but I'm virtually positive it hasnt been confirmed yet.

And before anyone says who cares about those sports, remember 90 percent of the people outside of this forum view volleyball in the same light. Tennessee won the SEC Women's all-sports trophy in 2005-06, the third straight year they have taken home that honor. They do not have gymnastics, you might be thinking of Georgia or Alabama there, both being favorites each year for the national championship. Most in the media agree that, when taking in consideration all women's sports, Tennessee is tops in the country in terms of support from administration and performance on the field of play. UT claimed SEC titles in cross country and soccer during the 2005-06 academic year. Additionally, the Lady Vols were victorious in the SEC basketball, soccer and softball tournament championships. All 11 teams sponsored by the UT women's athletics department advanced to their respective NCAA Championships, the second time the Lady Vols have accomplished this feat in as many years. Softball and volleyball each advanced to the NCAA Championship round and finished third in the nation; basketball advanced to the Elite Eight; rowing and swimming & diving placed 12th at NCAAs; golf was 13th; both the indoor and outdoor track & field squads finished 18th in the nation; soccer advanced to the NCAA Second Round; tennis advanced to the NCAA First Round and the cross country team placed 28th at the NCAA Championships. 2005-06 all sport results: Basketball (31-5)- 2nd SEC, SEC Tourney Champs, NCAA Elite Eight/6th AP & ESPN Cross Country - SEC Champions, NCAA South Regional Champions Golf - 2nd SEC, NCAA East Champion, T13th NCAA Championships Rowing - (No SEC Championship Awarded), 12th NCAA Championships, NCAA South Champions Soccer (15-6-2) - SEC Champions, SEC Tourney Champs, NCAA Second Round Softball (61-12) - 4th SEC, SEC Tourney Champs, 3rd Place College World Series Swimming & Diving - 5th SEC, 12th NCAA Championships Tennis (12-12) - 5th SEC, SEC Tourney Semifinalist, NCAA Tournament Track & Field (Indoor) - 3rd SEC/t18th NCAA Championship/10th Trackwire Track & Field (Outdoor)- 5th SEC/18th NCAA Championship/16th Trackwire Volleyball (25-9) - 2nd SEC, SEC Tourney Semifinalist, NCAA Regional Champion, 3rd NCAA Volleyball Championship
