First against USC on Friday, then against UCLA on Saturday, both at Maples. Bryn Kehoe has come back from near-season ending injury last year to lead the Cardinal to an undisputed lead in the toughest conference in the nation and a number two national ranking. Many VT pundits sing the praises of Courtney Thompson and Nellie Spicer, not mentioning Bryn. While Stanford has been very efficient and balanced in the various components of the game, such that individual statistics to not stand out (remember USC in the early 2000's), nonetheless last time I looked Bryn was second in assists in the conference while leading the team to the best hitting percentage and best winning percentage. Remember, coming off a serious injury near the end of last season. The Stanford v UCLA. match will also be on nationwide TV. gostanford.cstv.com/sports/w-volley/spec-rel/110606aaa.htmlp.s. Cardinal4, please PM me.

I get tired of seeing the same ol' teams play each other. Give me Texas @ Stanford or Nebraska @ Cal. Now there's two matches you'll rarely see at Maples and Haas, respectively.

How can you get tired of seeing the match between SU and USC or UCLA when it occurs only one time a year? Do you get tired of water after one drink a year, toro after one time a year, '61 Petrus (heh) after one time per year, orgasm after one time per year (heh, heh)?

It's twice a year. And every year. The accumulation of all those years of matches between the same teams drives me to murder.

Yes, technically they play eachother twice (possibly once more) a year, but only one match per year is at home, e.g. Stanford. Talking about murder, do you remember the acronym MR & MRS LAMB? Hint, common law feloniesl

All I know is that they better win because I picked them both times!

brynn is definitely one of the better setters in the league. she's got a stud outside hitter in barboza and an athletic middle in foluke, but other than that, her hitters need help puting the ball away, and she's provided them with enough holes and openings for them to be successful. with all the talent on stanford, people often overlook brynn.

Kehoe is like Tom Brady. Some people don't think she is all that great, but has won state championships at the hs level, National Championships at the jr level, international gold medals, and a college national championship. Enough said, she will graduate as maybe the winningest volleyball player in history.

Read my lips...the Republicans are out & Stanford is out. I'm calling it early. It's between UCLA and Texas.... UCLA wins. No recount.

Like any college campus, Stanford is in general quite liberal. There were definitely a lot of celebrations after the Dems' victories in Congress. The thing about Schwarzenegger is that nobody liked Angelides. Plus Arnold's a badass: what other governor can you watch kill terrorists with his bare hands?

I've resigned myself to the fact that Klineman isn't going to be a Cardinal and while I would want her to go to either Washington or UCLA to give the Pac-10 all the great players, the prospect of facing her two to three times a year just doesn't exactly sit well with me.
