It's weird, not wierd. Its spelling is often confused due to the "i before e.." rule we all learned in third grade. Did I use it's and its correctly, Wolfgang? Sorry, the teacher in me couldn't take it anymore. yeah, a pretty wierd concept ... ... but also very wierd is that Oregon just added another player to its roster for the remainder of the year. A 6-2 OH who has played b-ball at Oregon (a Pac-10 all freshman teamer, even) for the last two years but will not play b-ball this year (not really sure why). This apparently left the b-ball team with only 10 players and now they have added a soccer player. It's the great athlete swap! I can't imagine that this new v-ball player sees the floor this year not having competed since high school, but interesting none the less. Oregon now has to beat Arizona St. tomorrow and one of Stan, Cal, USC or UCLA to finish the year 9-9 in the Pac-10. Still a great improvement over a one-win conference season last year.

Easy way to remember: It's "we ird". As in "all of us ird." "Wi erd" makes no sense.
Another easy way to remember: A tatoo on your forearm. But make sure the "artist" knows how to spell. I still don't know what to do with my "Mothur" tatoo.

way to go UA! Just because they only have 2 wins for the Pac doesn't mean they are horrible. They have lost to the best teams in 4/5. But way to finally come up with a win!

haha... thanks for correcting my WEIRD spelling. DSYLEXIA strikes again ... I'll have to look into that tatoo thing. Thanks for the reminder to be discriminating (my condolances to your mothur, Ruffda). I agee that Arizona is not horrible. They have great athletes, but they're just inexperienced. They'll lose Butkus this year, but it sounds like they have a good setter coming in next year, too. Have they heard if Baum will get another year? Her blog has been fun to follow this year.

Gotta say, I saw the AZ/USC match on Fox the other day... it was odd to me that ALL of the Arizona players are different players, but LOOK just like the last big recruit class that went through Arizona. Anyone else notice this?
