Its getting down to the final stretch of the conference race, and its beginning to heat up. Thought it would be fun for everyone to vote on their favorite for MIVA POY.

I wouldn't argue against Matt from IP but I think that Schunzel deserves to win for doing the most with the least. He is setting a team with very few legitimate options. He is serving better than the last two years, he is Ball State's best offensive weapon and he plays pretty good D. he gets my vote, although I will admit I have not seen Matt play so I can't argue against him. he is having a great year.

we are going down the final stretch, but I did notice that Matt has been the MIVA POW 3 times this year. Isn't that a huge shoe in for the award? OR....do they wait for to see who performs well in the finals?
question here what about the other players who just do their job very well all season long. I'm thinking of a player who plays well in all the matches but is almost always second seat. It's too bad these players aren't recognized.

If it hasn't already been decided, it will be decided after this weekend. None of the playoff games factor in.
The other players get their kuddos by being picked as part of the All American selections.
I've been wondering who the freshman of the year is going to be! I don't have any idea, I've just been wondering!

First of all I think Id put Mark Peckham up as the Ohio State nominee in place of Andy Cole. Cole has been pretty average this year.
My prediction will be for Matt Z for POY, James Grunst for FOY. Not sure why people don't talk more about what Grunst has done for Loyola this year as a true freshman.

A shinny buffalo quarter says Schunzle wins POY.

I bet smooth is right. Last year, I was shocked to see Ptak get it. I was also shocked that Soler didn't get any recognition. I guess that you can't honor everyone, but still. anyway, It would make sense for Matt to get it, so it will most likely be someone that wouldn't make sense. That will give us a whole new thread to talk about )

Let me guess...
EIVA has a POY MIVA has a POY MPSF has a POY
Then ...out of all 3 a POY-POY is chosen?
(or does the MPSF get an at-large POY...to make it four) "sarcastic"
