Anyone heard anything, since neither school can be bothered with live stats, as far as I can tell?

Wisconsin had live stats and live video... you should have checked their website.
Anyway, Wisconsin pulls out a squeaker in 5, 15-13 in game 5 after being up 2-0.
Dolgner has 30 kills, 14 digs and hits well over .300 to save the Badgers

Actually, I did go to their website -- oddly, I actually thought of that -- but the live stats link did not lead to live stats.

This was a really ugly match for Wisconsin, as they had to pull out the last game with a questionable line call on match point. I didn't see it, as I was sitting at the other end, but the Northwestern coaches were not happy campers. The Badger passing was really poor and the blocking wasn't great, either. The offense really sputtered. I think Dolgner had 30 kills, basically saving the Badgers, since no one else played well offensively in the latter stages of the match. It got to the point where the Badgers were going to her in the back row because it seemed like no one else could put the ball away. Northwestern, not being dumb, figured this out and was able to block her a couple of times. The Wildcats blocked well tonight; I think they had 22 blocks, with multiple blocks against each Badger hitter. They basically killed themselves with 22 service errors, though, including one to get Wisconsin to 14 in game five. Other than Anderson, they weren't going for really tough serves, they just didn't execute well. When they did serve in bounds, they really caused the Badgers problems. Their middles outplayed Wisconsin's tonight.
Northwestern started to pass better from the third game onward and also started attacking the ball and trying to terminate. They were tipping a lot in the first two games to avoid the Badger block, and Wisconsin was picking those up. Nobilio was impressive tonight, digging a lot of hard hit shots and passing well. I think it was a match the Wildcats felt got away from them, since they simply outplayed the Badgers for much of the last three games.
While Northwestern deserves a lot of credit for coming back, Wisconsin helped them out quite a bit at times. The passing wasn't great even in the first two games, and the Badgers just seemed flat. They had a lot of unforced hitting errors. Carlini had one of the type of matches that plagued her earlier in her career, struggling against the double block and just hitting some balls out of bounds when she did have good opportunities. I hope that she is able to bounce back from that. Bladow and Jeffers also weren't able to do a lot. Northwestern blocked Bladow several times, and the connection between Simpson and Jeffers wasn't great tonight. Reineke started out strong offensively, but Northwestern was able to slow here donw and had I think a solo block against her on a game point in game four. Simpson was going for the quick sets to the middle late in the match, and the timing just wasn't there. It wasn't her best match, even when you consider the major ball control issues. Fortunately, the Badgers were able to squeak out a victory. I hope they can bounce back tomorrow and play like they have recently, not how they did in August. It was just a really off night for them all around, and Northwestern made a lot of good plays to go along with the errors that did them in ultimately.
