Is that a good *@ or a bad *@? Depends on who you're rooting for I guess.

The Colorado victory over Nebraska is especially surprising. That has to be tops so far with the Buckeyes sweep over the Nittany Lions at 2.

I'd add Michigan over Minnesota.
But OSU spanking PSU was the most amazing result of the year to me.

Damn stress fracture and flu. It's ok, I think that loss to South Carolina made Florida a much better team. Losses aren't always a bad thing, esp. if you can learn from them. I think Nebraska will be much better because they lost tonight. As long as it's not the NCAA tournament, some losses are really blessings in disguise.

How about whoever U defeating Louisville? Jacksonville State. Yeah, I guess, though UL isn't ranked anymore. JSU is 22-4, 16-0 OVC, the top seed in their tournament, so they're looking at an NCAA bid if they can win that.

Louisville is back on the cusp of ranking, though.... even with that loss.

BYU beat Stanford 3-1 not 3-0. Not that it matters, it was a bad loss.

We can use Pablo to ID those matches that are seriously out of whack. For example,
These are my top 5 biggest upsets this season, obtained by comparing expected outcome with actual outcome.
1) #184 SE Missouri St over #101 Memphis in 3 on the road 2) #189 Northern Arizona over #75 Eastern Washington in 3 on the road 3) #22 Ohio St over #3 Penn St in 3 at home 4) #309 Wagner over #217 Robert Morris in 4 at home 5) #10 USC over #2 Stanford in 3 on the road 6) #135 Utah St over #64 Cal St Northridge in 4 on the road 7) #258 Akron over #134 Denver in 4 8) #156 Portland over #65 Portland St in 4 on the road 9) #293 Charleston Southern over #246 Liberty in 3 at home 10) #37 BYU over #2 Stanford in 4 at home 11) #265 Rutgers over #119 James Madison in 5 on the road 12) #133 Oregon St over #45 Oral Roberts in 4 13) #226 Central Arkansas over #88 Tulsa in 4 14) #263 Colgate over #120 Cornell in 5 on the road 15) #202 UTEP over #111 East Carolina in 3 on the road
Penn St and Wisconsin were rated too close, so I didn't count them. Similarly, Nebraska/Colorado doesn't come all that close in this formulation, given that Nebraska outscored the Buffs by a ton. Which leads to an alternate "what the &^%$" type of game: the team that wins despite being outscored by the most. I am doing it using point %, because that is what I have handy
1) Marist over St Peters College 13-30, 30-26, 30-26, 19-30, 16-14 (diff = -18 points) 2) Colorado over Nebraska 19-30, 30-28, 15-30, 30-27, 15-12 (diff = -18 points) 3) Illinois-Chic over Miami UNiversity 20-30, 30-27, 30-28, 16-30, 15-13 (diff = -17) 4) Miss Valley St over Prairie View A&M 32-30, 16-30, 18-30, 30-23, 16-14 (diff = -15) 5) Kentucky over Tennessee 30-22, 19-30, 30-28, 14-30, 15-12 (diff = -14)

Where does Georgia Tech over (#25 at the time) Duke fall in the upset rankings?
That was a rediculous game...
