The WAC tournament is a waste of time. It's also ridiculous that it's continually held in Reno. Find another venue for it if you must continue this tourney or get rid of it for good. I thought I read somewhere that from next year they were moving the tourney to the week before Thanksgiving. This would allow Hawaii to put in a bid to host and also allow them to schedule some late season non-conference matches during the week of Thanksgiving. But it's still best if they just got rid of it.

This "weekend" starts off tonight.
Of special note:
Idaho vs. Nevada (CSTV) Hawaii @ Boise State (KKEA radio)

Updated WAC Standings: 1 Hawai‘i 14-1 21-5 ** 2 New Mexico State 12-2 29-2 3 Idaho 9-5 10-16 3 Nevada 9-6 15-13 5 San Jose State 8-6 17-11 6 Utah State 6-8 14-15 7 Boise State 4-10 11-16 8 Fresno State 2-12 4-22 9 Louisiana Tech 0-14 6-25
**Clinched at least tie for WAC regular season title
Some thoughts: Boise State played well against Hawaii today, can they jump on the Aggies and get another conference win or two to go into the WAC tournament on a role? I think so.
NMSU and SJSU should get wins tomorrow.
I see the WAC standing for Thursday night looking like this: 1 Hawaii 2 NMSU 3 Idaho 3 Nevada 3 San Jose State 6 Utah State 7 Boise State 8 Fresno State 9 La Tech
Then by Saturday night, I predict this:
Hawaii d. Idaho 3-2
Idaho d. Utah State 3-1 Nevada d. a very tired BSU NMSU d. SJSU 3-2 La Tech d. Fresno St.
Idaho and BSU complain to WAC for 3-matches in 4-days... and they SHOULD complain.
That'll leave the WAC standings like this:
1 Hawaii 15-1 2 NMSU 14-2 3 Idaho 10-6 3 Nevada 10-6 5 San Jose State 9-7 * 6 Utah State 6-10 7 Boise State 5-11 8 Fresno State 3-13 9 La Tech 1-15

I'm not sure how the WAC tie-breaker would be for third place. It would be fair if Nevada (the host for a million years) were forced to be the lower seed because they are home). At stake, a matchup with Hawaii/Utah St. or NMSU/SJSU.
