Congrats to Katie and Vanessa. Kind of surprised that Meyer didn't get a mention with her big weekend, but you can't argue with the choices.

Michigan and Michigan State Earn Weekly Volleyball Honors
Wolverines' Bruzdzinski Repeats; Spartans' King Touted for Defensive Efforts
Nov. 13, 2006
PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Katie Bruzdzinski, Michigan
Jr., OH, Naperville, Ill./Naperville North
Bruzdzinski played a pivotal role in Michigan's upset of No. 16 Purdue and helped the Wolverines knock off back-to-back ranked opponents for just the third time in program history. On the weekend, she averaged 7.33 kills per game (8.00 kpg vs. Purdue) on .447 hitting, more than doubled her conference-leading service aces per game with 0.83 apg and added 2.17 digs per game to help solidify Michigan's defense. Against Purdue, Bruzdzinski hammered nine kills on .500 hitting to help the Wolverines seize momentum in West Lafayette and knock off the Boilermakers on their home floor for just the second time in 12 matches. Looking to avenge an early season loss to Indiana, Bruzdzinski came fast out of the blocks with nine kills in game one, including four kills in the final five points to propel Michigan to victory. With Michigan spreading its attack in games two and three, Bruzdzinski concentrated on serving, slamming three aces in game two and a pair in game three, giving her five aces in the match -- tying for seventh place on U-M's single-match service ace list. This is Bruzdzinski's second-straight weekly honor and the third of her career.
