Ok, it is not Klineman, but it is a big catch for Idaho:
Vandals ink Portland's Milo
11/14/2006
MOSCOW, Idaho -- Alicia Milo has signed a national letter of intent to play volleyball with the Vandals, head coach Debbie Buchanan announced Tuesday.
Milo, currently a senior at Jesuit High School in Portland, Ore., will join the Vandals along with Katie Tribley who also signed a letter of intent for the 2007 season.
“Alicia is an outside hitter with a live arm, who can hit a bunch of different shots,” Buchanan said. “I think she is still blossoming as a player, in the last six months we have seen an improvement in her, in her workouts and training. She is training harder and jumping higher. I think she is a player who continues to improve and she can be a primary passer, who can hit and her live arm will help us down the road.”
During her time at Jesuit, Milo has helped her team finish at the top in the Metro Conference four straight seasons. She has also helped lead the squad to four consecutive high finishes at the state tournament, including tow straight fourth place finishes in 2005-06. In 2004 the Crusaders were Oregon state champions and in 2003 they finished second in state.
As a senior Milo was chosen to the All-State Tournament’s second team. In 2005 she was an All-League first team selection. She was also chosen Best Offensive Player in 2005, while garnering All-State Honorable Mention accolades.
In 2004 Milo was chosen to the All-League second team. As a freshman in 2003 she was honored as an Honorable Mention selection to the All-League team.
Milo’s older sister Sophia is currently a senior on the Pepperdine University volleyball team.
Idaho returns to action Wednesday night when they host Nevada, beginning at 7 p.m., in Memorial Gym. The match will be televised nationally on CSTV.
