I can't believe what I just found out!
I work in Austin, but our company has offices all over. One lady who I worked with in 2005 (only via the phone as she is based in Dallas) is named _______ Faucette.
A co-worker based out of Hartford, CT calls me today, and we start talking about sports. He knows I'm a big Texas fan and asks if I follow volleyball. He says, "You know _____'s daughter signed to play volleyball with Texas next season, right?" I knew right away who he was referencing.
I was stunned. Had no idea ______ "Faucette" was Juliann's mom. I nearly fell out of my chair. So, if either of you is reading this board, congrats to both of you.

It just occurred to me that with Leticia Armstrong leaving the team, Texas has another scholarship open for next year, right? What position do you think Jerritt would be looking for? Are there any good transfers or JC players still on the market? Or maybe he'll find another Mira Topic from somewhere overseas.
Also, for anyone who doesn't think Jerritt is looking to run a 6-2 or have Engle set, think about this: Jenny Andrew graduates this year, Moriarty graduates next year, yet there is no indication that Texas was heavily recruiting the top setters in this class. Even though setter is the most injury-free position, do you think he isn't concerned about what would happen if Moriarty goes down next year? And why would he wait until 2008 to bring in an inexperienced freshman to set a team that will be loaded with stud hitters?

Has Engle set at all this year? I mean in a 5-1 or 6-2?

Has Engle set at all this year? I mean in a 5-1 or 6-2? nope...she doesnt even warm up her hands. but she gets a lot of touches in games. Don't count out transfer players either, Texas has always had good players from that way too.

Has Engle set at all this year? I mean in a 5-1 or 6-2? Not in an entire game, but she has often been the setter at the end of games when Jerritt subs a utility blocker in for Moriarty. And I have to disagree with texas22, Ashley does sometimes take a few turns setting in the first part of warmups. The problem this year is despite the talk of "depth" there aren't enough consistent hitters to justify a 6-2, and Jerritt tends to pick one hitter to get 60% of the swings... this year it's his left-handed freshman. Guess who set two of Hooker's match ending kills against Washington at the AVCA?
