I think you need to quit comparing Baylor to the other Big 12 schools ahead of them- we are talking about if they have a good enough resume to beat other teams on the bubble. If they were to win only 1 more- that would be 3 wins against ranked teams which is a very high number of quality wins compared to other bubble teams in weaker conferences.

;D Quick 3 game win 30-15, 30-18, 30-24. Nice win at home for the Bears. Next is Nebraska, Colorado and Oklahoma. Does anyone know whats wrong with Emily Brown's foot. It seems like KU always has a significant injury at the end of the season. Was she on the trip?

Does the win over KState really impress any more? KState is now 10-18 overall and 2-14 (last place) in the Big 12. In the end the selection commitee isn't going to be looking at that as a good win. I wouldn't be surprised it it comes down to pulling out a quarter and flipping it.

Thanks. Great analysis everyone. Still think 2 is a lock and 1 gets em thinking. BTW, every digit and appendage is crossed:)

KState was a quality win at the time. In fact they just beat Texas a game their last match and had a great pre- conference record. They have lost many 5 gamers to top teams and I would take them to beat most the bottom conferences' champions. Point is the strength of the big 12 should hold major weight when looking at Baylor's accomplishments over other bubble teams with no wins against ranked opponents.

If K-State was a quality win at the time then what does a 0-3 loss to an unranked bottom of the conference KSU team 2 weeks ago mean. The win in September is completely negated by the recent loss. Pin your hopes on your win over a struggling Missouri team.

Why is a Missouri and a Nebraska fan against seeing Baylor in? I would think SaltNPepper and freeball would be rooting for more Big 12 teams to make it because they understand how tough this conference is!!! I don't think that I ever said (or indicated) that I don't want to see Baylor in the NCAA tournament. It would be great if the Big 12 got seven bids, with both Missouri and Baylor being included. However, looking at the facts rationally, I think Baylor's chances are slim, even if they win two of their three remaining matches.

Although I never saw her play in high school, I do remember her on the street (6'5" high school kids tend to stand out in a crowd) and heckeling the opposition at Haas Pavilion or RSF. It would be great for her to end her college playing days with an NCAA Tournament appearance. However - I think Baylor's chances are pretty slim right about now. It sounds like they have a good core coming back next season. Maybe pray for a miracle?

In regards to the record, when I said "two wins and you're definitely in" I didn't mean that in a statistical sense. That is, you have a weak out of conference schedule and simply adding 2 to your win column won't be enough. Rather it is because in this particular case two wins would mean a victory over the likely second place Big12 team (Oklahoma) which is a potential top 16 bracket seed, and a victory over another tournament team, Colorado (because let's face it you're not going to beat Nebraska at their house, so beating someone who DID beat them is the next best thing). Those would then be your up until now missing quality wins against top competition.

I think so also OverandUnder. It will be decided on the court all within 9 days. The teams will certainly make it or break it. Nice discussion.

I would think SaltNPepper and freeball would be rooting for more Big 12 teams to make it because they understand how tough this conference is!!! Instead of comparing against one another we should be comparing vs the PAC 10 and Big 10. I think both Missouri and Baylor should get in- just like the 7 last year that made it (see how its done). Oh and one more thing to Bearwatch- bald is beautiful baby! I think you misunderstood what I was saying. (Please reread the first sentence of my first post on this thread). I would love for Baylor to get into the NCAA tournament. I would love for the Big 12 to get 8 teams in the tournament. I would also love not to have to pay taxes. And I'll be "rooting" for them - except this Saturday I am only trying to be realistic after seeing what the committee has done in the past, even with 2 more wins yet this year I think it will be a toss up at best on whether they make it. They would be on the bubble - just hard to tell which side of the bubble the committee would put them on without know who the other bubble teams are for sure yet.

Ok- good to see that we are all on the same page rooting for the Big 12. There is a thread out there today about Georgia Tech making a case for getting in after coming in 4th in their conference and winning #25 duke. I just don't think a team like that deserves top be in over Baylor. One win this week should be enough- unless the commitee disrespects the Big 12 that much. But like Bearwatch says- it will all be decided this week.
