I have been waiting for this time of the year and this is why. Most teams are finishing their seasons and NCAA talks are going on pretty much everywhere. However, this is what I've been waiting for: Somebody to bust Asia Kaczor of USC. She's an amazing VB player and I great young lady, who I personally enjoy watching play every weekend, but I still have my doubts about her eligibility (specially after everything that went down at CSI). I have been thinking all season long that about this time somebody is gonna come out and show official prove to NCAA that she was a paid professional player in Poland. I really hope that this is just my great imagination and nothing will happen, but again what if...?
What do y'all think?

I believe the CSI's deal is that they have 3 foreign players on scholarship, instead of only 2 foreign players under the NJCA rules. Maybe there's a lot more to it, but that's what I've read in the papers. Maybe IB knows more about this.

Kaczor is free and clear.........USC checked her out as the school has its pristine reputation on the line.

You don't have to look any further than the arrest records of several of their football players to see the "pristing reputation" situation.....they have a couple of starters who are continually being involved in very stupid stuff involving, ultimately, the police! Pristine reputation!

I don't know if there's any real substance about Kaczor being ineligible. The real complaints seem to be that she's considerably older (22) than the average first year NCAA player and has years of high-level club experience.

Not certain if it is really fair to bring up football recruiting vs. volleyball where money, prestige, and publicity levels are much, much higher. What does so often happen with regard to foreign players, is that they hide their true age via false documentation. And unless the school/university in question wants to spend significant resources hiring private detectives to fully checkout all references and documentation, it is easy for someone to pull the "wool over their eyes." I can't recall any other player with star potential coming out of Poland and playing VB at the collegiate level. There certainly have been others from former Soviet bloc countries that have made an impact.

Pristine reputation! Oh come on now. USC is just grooming them to play in the NFL. So it's fitting.

It's rather been lying about previous playing experience that would trigger the "participation after the 21st birthday" rule. Murray State has a huge problem with several players from China who weren't upfront about the previous club teams. I find it highly unlikely that someone is going to be 24-25 as a freshman and be "recruitable" without known recent playing experience.

If you dig around the forums, you'll find out that the investigation at CSI was not about Kaczor at all. I don't have the time to look for the thread but look it up and you'll see the results of the NCJAA's findings.
