i was in the house. ucsd blocked a lot of balls early in the match and sb had to change things up. they took out jake weins after stopping him outside in the 1st game. 1st 2 games could have gone either way obviously by the score, but in both games, both teams had serve on game point several times and didnt capitalize. I must admit that SB had several calls not go their way and thay hurt the momentum and killed some attitudes on their squad. Urton, kaiser and adam toren hit very well and blocked the hell out of everyone. not neccesarily for points, but enough times where sb had to keep changing shots and eventually failing. jim waller did ok, but had a grip of hitting errors. i swear he had like 20, i may be wrong but he did get some key kills in games.
Justin adams was unstoppable and kawika did failry well to every where he hit., but like some one else mentioned in an earlier post, patak was not a factor at all.
Good win for ucsd, but throughout the season ,they do not play consistant enough.
