The question was asked of me and, since I don't know the answer, I thought I would ask here.
Football, etc recieves monetary payouts for participation in different tournaments/bowls/etc.
Does volleyball recieve anything for playing in the NCAA/other end of season tournaments like the WAC?

I don't think the participating schools receive money, but the NCAA pays for the airfare and players' per diem.

I guess theoretically there's a procedure for distribution of net revenue. However - I don't think the tournament turns a profit. I've read some parts of the 2006 D-I Women's VB Handbook that states that revenues can be withheld for participant misconduct (I guess something like trashing a hotel room), but there isn't any formula for distribution that I've seen. All I could find in the D-I manual was this:

I was under the impression that all NCAA Tournament teams were allowed to spend a predetermined amount of money as a reward for making it to NCAA's.
