Regarding future final fours; next year is set for Sacramento, then Omaha again the year after that. A real success this year and twao years from now, and I suppose a relative egg at Sacto next year, would gve somebody the excuse to make Omaha the permanent home. Can't believe that would be fair, though. As for top seeds, if Washington loses at Stanford Friday night I would not have them as a top seed; my final four has them down to 7 and Penn State at 2 as the #1 seed in Seattle. Cal cold give them trouble, too, if Washington is somehow distracted or looking forward to the NCAA's. I have Nebraska going to Hawaii (Hawaii seeded 13 but switching because placed 13 in Florida, and lower seed switches) with SC and Minnesota as 8 and 9, UCLA at 4 goint to Florida (5) with LSU and Cal Poly at 13 and 12 (LSU originally 16 but switching with Hawaii), then Penn St at 2 going to Washington at 7, with Oklahoma at 15 and Wisconsin at 10, and Stanford at 3 going to Texas at 6, with San Diego at 14 and Utah at 11 rounding out that field. Assumes Stanford beats Washington and Nebraska beats Texas. Washington RKPI remains at 10 this week, with UCLA, Stanford and USC all aheadof them on RKPI, as well as Texas and Florida.

Why did they have it in the corner of a stadium last year instead of having it in an arena? Some of the people i was set to go with had the plans fall though last year, so i couldnt make it to the final 4, but from the pictures i saw / TV the seating looked terrible compared to how it would have been in an arena...

Where would Cal end up, probably UW region?

So, in the history of the pre-determined regionals, have there ever been so many very good teams hosting who will not be a #1 seed? This is going to make it very difficult for the #1s.
Heck, Washington may not even by a #1.
I still think it's a bad idea -- the pre-determined regionals -- but this year it could REALLY bite them in the ass.

The set up is what they use for basketball. I was able to attend the final four and the seating was horrible. If we had stayed in the seats in which we were assigned we wouldn't have been able to see anything. Low in the section, about 40 feet from a corner endline, and would have had to look thru the players standing up. We ended up sitting behind the endline but a good 120 feet away from the court. You should never have a court sport take place in a football stadium. The seating is not conducive for that. It sounds like the Qwest Center will be a great venue. I wish/hope I can be there. Although, I may not be a proponent for moving the event to Omaha permanently. But I could be talked into it if NE fans and residents had to wait until the day after tickets went on sale to the public before buying theirs!

Possible ..but I don't believe it.

EOV, looks pretty good but I think I'd switch UCLA to 5 and PSU to 4. However, don't know if Cal would be a seeded team and 10 seems a bit high, that is the only team I'd question.

Doesn't make much difference as they would still be in the same region but I think the UCLA/TX matchup would be interesting and even to see how PSU/OK square off. To me this would be the most competitive regional.

It'll be interesting to see what the committee does with the Pac 10 teams that are rated in the top 10. Very interesting. If Washington loses to Stanford OR Cal then I could see them more bunched together.

I just don't see why it would not happen. They besides Nebraska they are the top 3 teams. It just doesn't seem fair. I know.... nothing is fair in life...They have worked so hard to get to the top and then they get knocked off at the end.
