The story is: It was a slaughter
The good news (at least for the Huskers) is that they stayed focused on their side of the net. The team probably hit around .500 and the middles were VERY productive and efficient Stalls was low with just over .300. Neither Gates nor Cooper had an error. Cooper was 6 attacks and 6 kills. Gates was 9 attacks and 7 kills. Larson only had 2 kills with one error after the first game but ended up hitting .571 with 11 kills on 14 attacks in games 2 & 3. Mancuso may have been the best story with 11 kills on 17 attacks with no errors.

From the Lincoln Journal Star...
Dani Mancuso, Sarah Pavan and Jordan Larson reached double figures in kills as the Huskers swept Kansas 30-16, 30-16 and 30-20 to clinch the Big 12 regular season volleyball title outright.
Larson led the Huskers with 13 kills on .571 hitting efficiency. Pavan had 12 kills and Mancuso added 11 more. The Huskers hit at better than .500 in the first two games of the match before cooling off to .300 in the third game.
Meanwhile, Nebraska limited the Jayhawks to below .170 hitting efficiency for the match, including .079 in the final game. The Huskers trailed twice in the match, the last time at 2-1 in the first game.
Nebraska’s Rachel Holloway had 45 assists. Dani Busboom had 18 digs, and Rachel Schwartz added 11 more.

I guess that takes some drama out of the Texas match. I don't think the Huskers are going to lose that anyway, so it probably won't matter.

What a season it has been. In July I felt like Texas would win both matches, but now I think Nebraska wins in 4.

I am just glad to see Dani Mancuso coming into her own a bit -- a great night for her. She's struggled this season and I've doubted whether she could get the job done, but last night, she finally broke out a bit and showed everyone what she can do. Let's just hope she keeps it up.
