Does anyone know if the WAC Tourney will be washed after this season? I thought I read something about that in the newspaper back in preseason... However reading today in a local newspaper, it seems as though that won't be happening anytime soon because New Mexico State looks to be hosting it next season. . That sucks.... Hawaii could be playing strong teams during that time of year rather than subpar ones. Grr.... talk about a crappy way to prep for the NCAA's.

I think someone has already posted this .... But the WAC tourney will be around at least through next year. After that, i have no clue. For next year, the tourney will be a week earlier (not held over Thanksgiving weekend), freeing up some time to schedule other non-conference opponents. (I think the other post mentioned that LMU will be coming to HI to play next year).

The WAC Tournament will be around for a long time. As far as the site, it looks like it's not going to change either. It will remain in Reno for the next couple years. Now, many want the tourney out of Reno and be played somewhere else. Since Hawaii is the most profitable womens program in the country bringing in more fans to its home matches year in and year out, it should be a no brainer. Not the case, according to the WAC. Reno is the best place for the tournament, geographically.
