Wisconsin wins game 2 30-26. Not a very solid showing thus far tonight. Dolgner hitting negative, Carlini hitting 0, and Jeffers at 0.278. Reineke was hitting well early on, but slipped a lot in game 2 and is now leading the team in kills with 8, hitting 0.294

Indiana's stats are much uglier....Short is leading the team in kills with 8 and hitting 0.065. Several players are hitting negative. This game is just ugly on both sides of the net.

Indiana just can't kill a ball. That's it. 1 kill over .000. I've not seen them play this season, but I'm guessing they can't pass either. Oh, Hoosiers, why for art can't you win a match?
9.5 blocks for IU and 9 for Wisconsin.

30-16 UW g3.
You know, I'm not sure what to do here. I mean, 15 errors in the third game alone. Negative for the match. They got walloped at Northwestern last week. It's sort of hard to keep being loyal when it's almost an embarrassment each match. I hope for the girls' sake that something happens. I live in SoCal now, so maybe I'll just share allegiances with UCLA or something now. Ah well, no big deal.

30-16 UW g3. You know, I'm not sure what to do here. Nothing for you to do. It's up to the administration. Why the head coach can still retain her job after the last 3 years is unfathomable to me - but great for the rest of the Big Ten.

You won't break up with the girl because she's ugly. Do not switch your alliance to the evil west coast! ;D I can sorta/kinda relate. OSU was 5-15 in the B10 in 2003 with the best player in the country. Without her, they'd have been (-5) - 25. hehe

It sounds like it was pretty ugly tonight, but at least the Badgers got the sweep. I was hoping Dolgner would have a good night to improve her credentials for the all-conference selection that I think she now deserves, but it didn't happen. Still, it is good to sweep when your starting outsides are one kill above hitting negative. It looks like Lorenzen had a good game running the offense, but I am not liking that idea at all. The Badgers haven't been great offensively with Simpson running the offense for the last five matches. If they are going to make a run in the NCAAs, not to mention win at Purdue tomorrow night, they need to get Jackie and her hitters back in rhythm. Not a rip at Lorenzen, who is a good player, but I really didn't like her starting against Iowa just because the Badgers had been struggling before that. I just want to have one setter clearly as the starter so they can relax and play their game. The switching setters played a big role in the Badger slump at midseason last year, and I don't want a repeat of that. If Simpson is hurt or sick, Lorenzen is a good option. If not, they need to get Simpson going again. Her play was huge when the Badgers looked great a few weeks ago. I guess one good thing is that they didn't exactly play great going into the NCAAs last year and then were able to kick things up a notch. I hope they do that tomorrow night, or they will end up with another loss. Purdue is still talented and will be looking for a better performance after Minnesota beat them pretty easily tonight.

This is the wrong time of the season to be playing the setter switch game. Lorenzon just doesnt have the same timing with her hitters as Simpson (which makes sense cuz she doesnt play).
