I would say a good showing in the WAC tourny helped us...but that wouldn't explain why Hawaii stayed where they were.
Who knows....

I'm not trying to be biased here, but there is no way that Washington, being picked as the #3 team in the country nationally by the coaches, should be the #6 overall seed in the tourney. I can understand making an argument for UW-UCLA (who deserves it more) but seeding USC above UW and Penn State above all 3!?! that's BS. UW should have had the right to host rounds 1 and 2 Wow, you're right. Fans from other schools (MN, especially) should have a lot of sympathy for Washington only getting to play half of their road to the final four at home, instead of 100 percent of it.

Seeding doesn't necessarily mean hosting a subregional. Last year Washington was the #2 or #3 seed, wasn't hosting a regional, and got sent to Colorado for rounds 1 and 2. Even a top seed can fall victim to the travel rules.

Not any more, however. Another rule change to benefit the Huskers it would appear...
Or just a coincidence?

Not any more, however. Another rule change to benefit the Huskers it would appear... Could be. I figure JC needs to start now lobbying for the top 8 seeds to stay at home for the first and second rounds effective 2008 (the year after Pavan, Houghtelling, Stalls & Griffin) use up their eligibility. I just hope he never feels he needs to work on 9 to 16.
