Nebraska HAS to keep their consecutive-sold-out streak going.

BM, it's rather creepy knowing that you've been studying JT's derrier closely enough to know that he has a boil.
It's also mind boggling to think that JT didn't smite you for doing the inspection!

Approx. 60,000 Nebraskans bought tickets to the Big 12 Football championships in Kansas City on Sat. So, tickets may not be that hard to get on Sat. IF the Huskers get by American university. Hey now! It's like 65,000 that bought tickets to the football game. Besides, Nebraska has more than 60,000 fans/residents.

A very obvious answer. If Hawaii hosted that would be a totally different story... ;D

I think a more interesting survey would be who has the least attendance. My vote would be split between Albany and Tennessee.

It would also be interesting to see which host teams are closest to (or manage to exceed) their regular season home attendance averages.
Doesn't attendance get counted a bit differently during the NCAA tournament than it does during the regular season?

It's gotta be Albany, right? I mean, they'll essentially have two "home" crowds, a third team is fairly close, and the fourth team is known to have a fan following. How could they possibly not have the biggest crowd? Hey, after traveling to meet Siena on the road, Minnesota is going to have to face a hostile crowd at, yes, Albany. But is that any worse than either Hofstra or Cornell moving into the second round to face... Penn State. The top two teams of the Big Ten moving into the sweet 16 after playing Long Island/Hofstra/Cornell/Siena/Albany/St. Johns/take your pick of the "toughest." Maybe Big 10 coaches have lucrative bonuses for getting into the sweet 16. Reputedly, the Pac 10 coaches say, we gotta go through everything to get to where we are going; just give us our schedule, whatever the sequence. When Stanford won its last championship the year before last, they had been shipped off to Gainesville for the first two rounds. Whatever the NCAA deals, well, no problemo. Might stumble every now and then, but no problemo.

We are fascinated with Sarah Pavan arent we? She guaranteed a championship or her life is worthless.......what incredible pressure to put on one's shoulders.....she reminds me of Charles Atlas....or even better yet Joe Willie Namath. Heck yes I am fascinated with her........putting the ENTIRE HUSKER NATION ON HER SHOULDERS. Reminds me of the man going on a walk on the beach with JESUS....when he looked back he saw only one pair of foot-prints....it was because JESUS was carrying him.

You may well be right on both! I remember listening to the hysterical Zoo (student-run and [read amateurly but enthusiastically] broadcast KZSU) audiocast, not believing, after interpreting the shrieking, that somehow SU had pulled it out. That was the year Stanford opened the Big Dance against "unknown" foreign-dominated FAMU (which had beaten Nebraska or someone early on and whose website was rarely updated after then), if I recall correctly. In hindsight, I an VERY happy that match was NOT played in Gainesville.

It was a ridiculous subregional cause SU, UF and FAMU were all ranked in the top 25(Stanford 6th, UF 13th, FAMU 22nd), with Stanford only seeded 11th(how crazy is that). And yes, FAMU had won in Lincoln earlier in the year. It was just a monumental screw job by the committee. Turned out, that Stanford-UF match was the best of the tournament and the closest anyone came to beating Stanford. And it was in the 2nd round. it was def. a regional final or later type match. At least it was worthy of being such. I guess the LSU, Cal, Cal Poly, Michigan gets that distinction this year.
