Cook said after the brackets were released that his main concern was that he hoped they would be playing at home for the first and second rounds. If that happened, it really was not as important who they played - you just have to prepare for whoever you get.
The reason for this had less to do with volleyball and more to do with the students in the middle of preparing for and taking finals over the next several weeks, knowing that at most, Nebraska only now has to miss time during one week if they make it to the Florida Regional.
My point is that whether some team got a really easy draw or a fairly tough one in the first and second rounds is probably far less of a deal than getting sent on the road after working hard all year to get a top 16 seed.
At least I think this is probably the feeling of coaches with teams near the top end of seeding, may not be the same for those that that were boarder line for even getting a seed.

Or, how about staying at home and getting an easy draw. Something like Long Island, Cornell, and Hofstra.

Play at home w/ a tough draw.
Maybe if you go to the extreme, and the "tough draw" is you vs Nebraska in the first round, and (assuming you advanced) you vs Stanford in the second round... but even there, it'd be like having a Final Four quality match in your own arena, two weeks early.
