Marlowe doesn't prepare for a broadcast until 30 minutes before tip-off (or kick-off, whichever). That's when he pores through the media guide. His arrogance allows him to believe his sheer intellect and raw brainpower can digest all the info therein and deliver a rousing performance to his admiring listeners. Did you watch any of the men's world league matches on CSTV this summer?

She does say some stupid things but I still don't mind her. I liked the combo of Dodd and Marlowe doing the mens world league this summer. Talk about a contrast, in a good way... I think they were on the same San Diego State basketball team.

Did you watch any of the men's world league matches on CSTV this summer? No. I was impressed at the duo. It was a good mix of serious analysis and some crazy/fun comments. I actually got the chance to say it to them face-to-face when I was on the floor in Minneapolis.

I'm so tired of the fact that every year during the Final Four every conversation on here ends up being all about Cox. It completely drives me nuts.

Cox - "That was vintage UCLA volleyball". I was wondering exactly what that is??? Average play? Relying on one superstar??? Marlowe and Sunderland is the best combo.

I've liked Dave Loane and Audrey DiPronio (sp?) on the FSN coverage better than any other broadcast pair over the past 2-3 years.

Karch? Oh, please...
Monotone voice. No insightful commentary.

Marlowe and Sunderland is the best combo. Sunderland was the annoucer for FIVB on the FIVB championship (Brazil vs. France) CSTV match. From listening to it, he also was announcing the quarter and semifinals but of course, those were not broadcast in the US.... He was hired by FIVB not CSTV....

In spite of the fact that Loane hopes the Illini will win and DiPronio roots for the Buckeyes, they remain pretty objective and are definitely both knowlegeable about the game itself. Did you know that DiPronio's daughter's name is Logan?
