Usually I am pretty unemotional about Heather Cox, but tonight I too was getting irritable with her obvious bias. But more maddening to me was their constant harping about last year's NC match. Yes we got swept, but I am getting tired of hearing this:
"Nebraska was the OVERWHELMING FAVORITE" I heard it last week too. Any objective analysis would have indicated we were NOT the overwhelming favorite, if anything perhaps a slight edge to slight underdog. This just fuels the perception that it was a monumental choke on our part. Being swept might have been a little much, but not losing to a VERY GOOD Washington team.
It's just another example of how the media can shape perception. The perception in this case being that because Washington was a newcomer so to speak, and Nebraska has been around for 25 years, that automatically implies that we were a superior team.

She needs to get her facts straight. After watching part of the replay. She says if Houghtelling isn't hurt Jordan Larson isn't playing and would be a bench player??? She keeps referring to Pavan as a senior. She's as bad as Marlowe on the triva stuff.

Apparently Heather doesn't know about Pablo rankings: Pre-NCAA tournament Pablo rankings in 2005 1 Penn State 10000 2 Washington 9945 3 Nebraska 9555 4 Stanford 9140 5 Florida 9050

I'm so tired of the fact that every year during the Final Four every conversation on here ends up being all about Cox. It completely drives me nuts. Let's see, there is currently one thread that is discussing Cox, so its not quite "every" conversation. Second, you actually clicked on the thread that was specifically designated to discuss Heather Cox. You must relish being driven nuts, to seek it out in this way.

Yeah, I couldn't believe that she didn't know that Mancuso would have been the "bench" player and Larson the starter if Houghtelling was healthy. Also, on the lift called on Spicer to end game two she said "How can you call that at game point?" Who cares if it's 0-0 or game point - if the ref thinks it's the right call, he or she has to make the call. What a ditz!

I'm jealous because she gets paid a lot of money to do absolutely nothing.

I take it from all this there isn't much to say about Beth Mowans? Granted, she's presumably not there because of her volleyball insight (she also announced the NCAA soccer finals), but she has seen a lot of volleyball around the country this year (she autographed my ball when they were at Purdue).
Of course, she has to fight with ESPN production, too, so it's not like she is seeing anything useful on her monitor, either.

If you don't like hearing her stumble all over the place turn off the volume and just cross your fingers that she comes on screen. You have to agree that because she is hot that is why she gets TV time. Anyone one want to see Marlow (The Butthead) or Karch (I'm still great) or Cox? I take Cox by a mile! ESTRELLA

- When the momentum went to UN her emphasis shifted to them. - She said, "And now we're seeing Nebraska volleyball" at least once.

Marlowe never did color. And I'm fine with his play-by-play.
Beth did fine, too.

Leave Cox alone. She's busy doing football most of the year.

Well, at least she doesn't make pronunciation errors like Dave Show-jy (as in "why"). That drives ME nuts.

Does ESPN have a rule against replaying questionable calls?

No, they are just cheap. Cheap. Cheap!
This sport needs better camerawork than it receives. But that's more money, too.
