with 16:9, that shouldn't happen any more.
and an angled end zone shot beats a regular one any day.

I dont like that one camera angle that makes it hard for us to see the dept of a ball. Is that the endzone angle this topic is about?

Most casual fans prefer the sideline view of a volleyball match.
Coaches prefer the endline view because it allows them to see more of the things that coaches typically focus on (i.e. shot charting, seams in the block, defensive positions, etc.)

My main problem with the sideline shot was when there was an hard attack to the corner, the camera didn't usually pan fast enough to see whether it was in or out.

I like the end zone view, but you need to get more elevation Grrrrrr... You're bringing back bad memories of the 2001 championship match where ESPN decided to park their freakin "boom cam" right in front of our otherwise nearly perfect seats for watching the match. OTOH: I wasn't the player the "boom cam" operator was trying to park his toy on top of while she was attempting to serve. Who was that player again (R)!? You remember things like that.

It might have been Ivy - I'm pretty sure I'd have remembered if it was Hochever or Tom.
